LIFE UPDATE!!!
Life is really hard and I am struggling. I have started a new journey at an externship for school which includes meeting all new people, learning new things, and trying to pretend that everything is ok. It’s very overwhelming and I wasn’t prepared for this.
I have been experiencing the worst anxiety which doesn’t help my insomnia. I have had a lack of sleep which has really affected my performance at my externship. I’m not able to think clearly and am losing my confidence.
Being confident in myself has been something I’ve struggled with practically my entire life. This lack of confidence has made a huge impact on my life, but has also pushed me to want to succeed and become a stronger person. I know im not alone and many other struggle with the same things. Anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, grieving, financial situations. Whatever the case may be, we are not alone. Life is just hard sometimes. Despite being in this tough time, there is always something positive to look forward to! Like my upcoming graduation and a new career path! Although it may be hard to stay positive in this moment, it’s important not to give up!!
If you are struggling with mental health, addiction, the loss of a loved one, don’t hesitate to reach out to someone for help! It’s important to tell those around you what’s going on if you are comfortable doing so. I hope everyone is staying sober and if not, keep working towards your goals to achieve sobriety! If I can do it, so can you! 🤍

Losing a loved one, going to school, and an externship all at once is a lot. It would actually be abnormal if you werent struggling somewhat. I think if you could get your sleep fixed that would help a ton. I take 300 microgram of melatonin which was found to be the best dosage

It can be overwhelming for sure! I also take melatonin but it hasn’t been as effective the past few months.

During this time in your life its really important to make sure your body is getting enough nutrients....My Dr advised me to get vitamins nutritional shakkes n supplies....Especially during the 1st year of greiving. Our Eating n Sleeping is off....Grab some Melatonin n John Warts to help u sleep n Over the counter Sleep aids help as well...I also have Tylenol Pm's...I have pain n sleep problems so that helps as well. If youre lackinh sleep it makes Everything Worse! ...Try making yourself a Night Routine....Hot bath...do some facial care (creams,lotions,serums )etc... Same for the body. Lighting n Sound fir yiur bedroom also helps....Maybe try one of those lights that cascades patterns on the ceiling n walls. ie Moon n stars 🌙 💫 Try soothing sounds (Ocean waves ..rain..fireplace) etc...Turn off your phone,laptop,tablets ,computer etc... Take Nightime supplements (Melatonin, johns warts)etc... OTC Sleep aids ... Snuggle up next to Rue 🐶 Cuddle Up with Rue ❣ They help our BP go down n relax us. Try n stay awsy from certian things that trigger ..like certian songs or TV shows or movies that make u cry. If u try n embrace a sleep routine instead of (dreading) it n tellung tourself youre not gonna be able to sleep....It does help . A good nights sleep makes a big difference. I hope this helps ya out. 🛌 😴 💤 ....My thoughts n prayers are with you Leah 🙏 💞

Try to focus on fixing the sleep first and I bet that will help a lot. Remember you are smart and capable, you got this ! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve made silly mistakes during clinicals, hands shaking etc ❤

My sleep has gotten a little better as I’m adjusting to my new schedule, thankfully! Clinicals can be so intimidating, especially when you have someone watching your every move. It gives me more anxiety when someone watches me do my work and that’s when I make a mistake. Hopefully things will all come together soon. Thanks for the positivity 🩷🙏

It’s a terrible feeling 🥺 although this is a terrible time in my life, I’m learning so much along the way and I’m becoming stronger everyday. Thank you for spreading the positivity! I definitely need it. Hope you are doing ok 🤍

Thank u for your video. I have had a rough start to year. I got covid and it really knocked me down. I am vaccinated but have immune problems. It has messed with me thinking clearly. I also have anxiety and insomnia. I can get to sleep using breathing tech but then wakeup. After Christmas has always been hard for me. Keep being patient with yourself. Try to think of a few things you did right at your externship. Because when I am so down on myself like you are being it just spirals in negative ways. Maybe try to look for a therapist in grief background? Sorry like I said my brain is off. Take care. Gkad u gained those lbs. 💜💚💜

I need to remind myself to not be so hard on myself and things take time. This last week did go a little better. So many people are getting sick right now! Hope you are feeling better now 💕 I’m currently in the process of finding a new therapist but want to make sure it’s a good fit before I commit to anything.
