Have I Made a BIG Mistake Changing my Painting?

Fortune follows the brave? I have changed this painting so many times. I have placed it out of sight now. It went through a stage of looking alright but I didn't want it to just look alright. I wanted it to grab attention and I think it does but maybe for all the wrong reasons. What do you think of it?SUP P O R T M Y C H A N N E L

Did you thinking venus playing in water 😅 because i feel she is half in water. And i can feel she is so enjoying pure water on sunny day 😁 it brings me good times back playing in ocean waves in vacation 😁 oh i so missing it 😅 water 🌊😁 this painting bringing back that feeling

I think I have liked the bright colours better, but then I don't have an abstract mind. Can I be honest? I loved the creams and soft sunset colours when the canvas was just prepared, but I think what I thought it was going to be, might not be considered abstract. 😊

Of course you can be honest Sonet! None of it is how I thought it was going to be! At one point I put black paint over most of it and then thought it was too drastic and then put white on top and then the black paint started to peel off! 🤣

@@SimoneWhippArtist I think that is all part of a learning curve. Experimentation. If you don't try, you will never know. That should have made a good video 🤣. All the black paint and what went through your mind when doing it. It would have been the ultimate video showing process 😁

I am liking this better after tone down. What I think is one word 'transparent' it is giving 3D effect of transparent water 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 and I believe in there is water somewhere in your mind in this theme. So it does suits to it.

Thank you! Unfortunately it has changed a lot since I did this video. I have put it aside for now as I am concentrating on another canvas.😊

@@SimoneWhippArtist never say unfortunately in such case ☺️ because it will keep getting better at every step ☺️ and that's beauty of keeping photos/ videos of every stage. We have multiple possibilities of single artwork.

What is gesso?

Gesso is a universal primer usually applied to a canvas before it is painted to provide a surface for the paint to stick to - or in this case applied after! 😂
