When I heard that Måneskin had a new song out I just thought i was going to be the same old pompous in your face glam rock. They have very much so proven me wrong with this song "The Loneliest". I'm pleasantly surprised.

if people would check teatro d’ira and their ballads together with their lyrics in italian they’d stop saying they only care about image. get informed before judging an artist’s discography, their beggin’ cover is a bad representation of their actual discography.
@fang_xianfu
@fang_xianfu 10 месяцев назад
I'm surprised anyone thinks they only care about image. It's always been pretty clear to me that they like their image because they think it's part of their art, and then their music is about whatever topics they want and sometimes one of those topics is their image, and usually a backlash to it. Gossip, mammamia, etc are all about people overreacting or misunderstanding.

You could check out more of their italian older songs (Torna a casa, Le parole Lontane, Coraline), this is not new for them, it's just their first ballad in english. Even their italian more hard/funk songs have great lyrics, english is not their first leguage so they are getting better at writting in english now (specificly Damiano), that's all

That was interesting Justin, thank you for doing this. About the writing, they usually do all by themselves (Damiano writes the lyrics while Victoria, Ethan and Thomas all of their parts) but they recentelly started some collaborations with other writers and producers in US. I wholeheartedly recommend you going back a little while to their Italian songs, written and produced in Italy, and you'll find out they were already mature before this song. Aussie request... As an Australian, can I ask you to review a John Farnham song? There are many to choose from. Trying to find accommodation in Canberra next week because I missed tickets for you guys in Sydney. Last time I saw you guys was in Newcastle, rough crowd, but you guys were nice enough to meet all the fans out back, take pics and make your signatures on peoples shirts. Hopefully will see you again soon

Since you're coming to Australia, it'd be great to hear your thoughts on Aussie band Silverchair. They quickly rose to international fame in 1995 at the ages of 15, but only remained popular in Australia in the 00s. Their music matured overtime as they transitioned from a grunge/hard rock sound on the album 'Frogstomp' to a glam rock sound with their final album 'Young Modern'. How do you think their music evolved overtime creatively? Looking forward to hearing The Darkness perform on Sunday. Cheers.

Hi Justin....loving your channel. I'd love to hear your take on 'The Lemon Twigs' (Unless you've already discussed them and I missed it?) particularly the original line up, wherein the D'Addario brothers took turns playing drums live, this was such an original concept for a live band format, I was slightly disappointed when they revamped the personnel and got themselves a regular drummer...though they are still excellent.
@philipjennings3490
@philipjennings3490 Год назад
I second that request! I’d love to know his take on the Twigs. I hear that in recent gigs they have gone back to taking it in turns at the drum set which I hope is true...they’re both incredible drummers, and there is definitely a touch of Keith Moon in Michael’s playing
@thebouncinghearts
@thebouncinghearts Год назад
@@philipjennings3490 I agree, Michael is an incredible drummer, and a great front man...Brian is a great drummer too, but it's his guitar playing which is quite extraordinary...Think they were 17 and 19 respectively at the time of those early live shows....Sickeningly young anyway!

Aside from having the hottest bass player in the business I have really liked Maneskin's music. She reminds me so much of the girl who was the groupie in Pink Floyd's The Wall, of whom I had a mad crush on in my younger years.

Could you do one on Graham Bonnet's lungs (technique etc), he's good on Rainbow's 'Down To Earth' and FANTASTIC on Alcatrazz's 'Disturbing The Peace' one of the greatest hard rock albums ever... This type of music seemed to suit him the best, I've heard him on other types and he's less impressive.

If not I think you would enjoy the Angels, Cold Chisel, Daddy Cool, Midnight Oil, Australian Crawl, Hoodoo Gurus and Skyhooks Love ya work mate

FYI proper pronounciation is more like "Maw-ni-sheen". It's Norwegian for Moonshine. The "å" is actually more of a short "o" type sound, and the "sk" is a "sh". Their Eurovision win was a breath of fresh air cutting through all the pop and power ballads.

I've grown absolutely addicted to these videos recently. I'd love to see some look at the 2000s australian roots rock scene, John Butler Trio in particular (Not ocean cause they have some banging rock tunes), and they've sprung a generation and a mini genre that I follow now in touring buskers that come through europe and the uk every summer. I also really like you talking about vocalists, not one myself so understanding the instrument more is great, have you ever heard the Tallest Man on Earth?

The Digitech Whammy pedal is also used in the modern metal guitar in order to reach even more lower octaves than an extended range guitar alone can do...
