I think you just use an oil cleanser and massage the skin with the sebacious filaments for a few minutes before you rinse the cleanser off

I used to get these on my nose. They went away when I got perioral dermatitis and stopped doing anything beyond cleansing and moisturizing with simple glycerin-based products. I’ve since learned that the less I do to my skin (including exfoliating) the healthier and less fussy it is.

@@ggonpointeI used the La Roche Posay Toleraine hydrating cleanser, La Roche Posay water spray, no serums, and the Keihls ultra hydrating cream (but didn’t apply the latter on my chin where my PD is). My subaceous filaments went away in 2-3 weeks, which is the time it takes for skin cells to turn over. I still have PD but have been able to incorporate the Vanicream vitamin c serum and M-61 peel pads once a week (avoiding my chin) and my nose is still clear. My PD is also under control. I honestly think over exfoliating and using oil based products caused the issue.

Best video on this so far. Short, sweet, and easy to follow. I’ve been oil gritting and it hasn’t helped. But now I know why. I need bha 😂. This is also the only video I’ve seen where someone talks about both oil grifting AND bha. All the other ones only talk about either or.

Just use ANY cosmetic acid (i use mandelic) with some water, and skip the rest. Never needed anything else and Ive had acne all my life so my skin can get pretty clogged up, but when I use just the acid no more sebaceous filaments

You use it on dry skin, after around 5 min you can continue with your usual skincare, but remember not to use other acids or retinoids in the same routine

Oil cleansing with hemp seed oil alone once per day actually does keep them away. Especially if you keep up with it. It has linoleic acid which does something similar to bha and doesn't build up in the body.

It just depends on your skin type 😊 if you have dry skin like me, you might prefer the version in oil. If you have pily skin then you might prefer the regular water based version (which i also love as it layers great under other skincare!) ❤

No, you don't rub the salicylic acid for a few minutes, that's what you do with the oil cleanser you use first.

Oil cleansing with the right oil cleansers does feel good! I have oily skin too and there's light oil cleansers that feel good on my skin. You wash them off afterwards which makes your skin feel clean and nice. Don't get with an water-free bha tho, like the one she mentioned, I think those feel terrible on my skin, heavy and cremes afterwards just make it worse. Waterbase is better

Do you know what the little bumps are that have a tiny hole in the middle but they don’t have anything in them. If I use a more cream based lotion in lieu of a serum, they become inflamed. It seems like hormones can affect them too.

Yes it does. So u should start slowly up to tolerance. U shouldnt use both a leave in and a cleanser same time. You're drying out too much n over exfoliating

Do you use a moisturizer with it? Have you tried it in different forms such as a cream or oil ? It’s tough finding the right combo. Or maybe a different strength? I have oily and dry skin. I can use 2% in the summer but 1% in the winter. I love the Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant during the summer and switch to the 1% BHA Sensitive Skin in the winter, then follow up with my moisturizer. They are just some ideas of what works for me. Good luck!

I accidentally used pure mint oil on my whole face IT BURNT SO BAD SO I IMMEDIATELY RINSED IT OFF WITH THE CERVA FOAMING FASH then my skin cooled down but ALL those spots gone not even 1 left and all my pimples were white heads and inflamed a week later now no pimples left I don’t know if this is safe as i didn’t do any research on it but i was literally so scared that my face would fall off it hurt so bad but on the other side my skin is clear….😭😭😭😭😭

Hey I read it has a ingredient called Isoceteth-20, and that's the reason for foaming but it's not a reason for worry! (Also I have only used the ordinary 10% niacinamide and mine also foams up, so idk about other brands)

I’m allergic to salicylic acid and it’s such a bummer because I have very oily skin and problems like these. I wish there was an alternative. I use aha as peeling - and lots of active ingredients, but I hate that can’t use this 😩

It's expensive , but I'm finally making headway with my dumb face and neck skin by using oils and face wash from a website called Herbivore Botanicals. If you're desperate enough you should definitely give them a shot lol 😂 **p.s.: I also just learned last year "oil dissolves oil!" , meaning don't be afraid of using face oils bc once you find your right one you'll eventually find it does not in fact make your face oiler or gross...hopefully🤞! there is definitely an adjustment period too! and sometimes I will mix the oils or in the winter I use their actual face lotions; you might benefit from more than one of these items, or none of them. Either way I wish you the best on this journey! cuz holy shit is it exhausting and mentally draining!! 🤣

How is salicylic acid snake oil when it’s been scientifically proven? 😂 it’s not a scam. It’s a wonderful ingredient that when used properly helps many, It’s also an ingredient used in some topical prescriptions, ergo not “snake oil”.
