from what the new x2 looks like i was expecting something out of this world but wow i'm disappointed. i currently have an f40 black diamond grill all black gloss trims and i just dont see how this is the upgraded version.
Idk why everyone is hating on the design. In my opinion its more futuristic, kind of how some people like the cybertruck, some people hate it. The interior is rlly nice, but the back seats look a little iffy when he sat in it.
they gone from the now classic 1 Series M coupe to this trash, very sad and huge step back from what should be the ultimate driving machine. now im fully committed to mercedes, the best or nothing!
bmw new designs are moving towards more like benz. "Giving up identity and blending in with all the other cars". Car in the past used to have their own design, able to differentiate the brand from far, now they just copy here and there.
I'm sorry, but as a lover of the brand and its products, I have to say that BMW's styling choices in recent years are very questionable. The new 1-series at the front is really pathetic, a sad imitation of Marcedes A-Class with similarities of the front of Honda ZR-V (equally hideous). The rear is not bad, tracing that of the current model. Absolutely rejected. They have lost the iconic look of their fronts, with the aggressive-looking headlights and angel eyes, which made you recognize a BMW from miles away.
@@houssamalucad753 personally i prefer the look and user interface of iDrive 6, but have to admit that it feels very dated and limited in connectivity (for some).
How so? Soft touch on the back doors which most of its competitors don't have. Seats look awesome. Screen isn't a stick on like in the upcoming Golf r 8.5.. sook
@@blakejohnson4562 you gotta have soft touch material on all doors when you position your brand as a premium one. So its nothing to brag about. Also new interior really is a downgrade, like rest of the car
I saw the car in person, and the truth is that it uses significantly cheaper materials, with thinner door plastics. A major difference is in the trunk insulation, which is really of poor quality.
@@blakejohnson4562 Agreed the RS does look good but this doesn’t. It just looks like a standard sad front end of a boring car. The slope down into a small grill gives no feel of being mean looking. The car looks depressed 😂 as controversial as the previous model was it was better than this and I would pick a Focus RS over this which says a lot as I used to love BMW but it just feels lacking
Exactly what I thought. I’ve come up with a revolutionary idea. “e” for electric vehicles. “h” for hybrid vehicles. “i” for petrol injection vehicles. “d” for diesel vehicles. 🤔
Prefer the old f40. Looks more aggressive, higher quality materials. Prefer the interior to the old one too. The I-drive rotary controller is gone?! One of my favourite things in a bmw. Miss the angel LEDs
One day I hope that car reviewers will admit that lower plastics on the interior are harder for durability and practicality rather than the tiny cost savings that they have been bullshitting about.
If it didn’t have the badge on the front you would not recognise this as a BMW. What a long way they come from making distinctive sporty looking cars with obvious design cues to BMW past classic cars. I have gone past the point of being disappointed by each new car BMW releases. For me it would be a shock if I liked a new BMW, I know it’s not going to happen
This looks like a face lift car with very minimal effort to improve from the previous model. The One series has been a disappointing series since the previous model was introduced. Should have focus on the petrol version and spend more money and time on the vehicle, you’re not doing well on electric cars. You sales volume is low and why would you continue on this direction?
135M F40 has been super popular in Scotland. Low APR, basically the same speed as the golf R, and a better 'badge' has prompted stacks of wee boy racers to opt for it over the VW. I do quite like them with all the performance parts on it.
How is the outside uglier? Previous gen front end looked terrible. Looks way more agressive and sharp. Interior looks so sporty. Great seats. Screen is good and doesn't look like a stuck on ipad in the new upcoming golf r 8.5 and gti. Golf also doesn't have soft touch on rear doors. Nor does audi in the s3.

Getting left with less and less choice of BMW's.. only BMW I'm still interested in is 2 series coupe . Not the gran coupe either thow it is a looker but the rest are just looking taccy
Gosh that’s one ugly BMW. The front view at 0:07 is terrible. How I miss the angle eyes and the characteristic BMW kidney grill…Terrible integration of sensors in the centre. If you cover the badge, it’s no different to any other generic modern age car. Interior looks so cheap, nothing inspiring.
Why are you hellbent on shaming the previous 1 series. That car looks far better than this new iteration. Also, you are out of breath after every sentence. I think its time you worked on your cardio pal
i think with these newer models the only one to buy is the lower spec models, save money and treat it as a consumable and ignore the M-Sport BS (M = Marketing).
I’ll have to give it some time but first impressions aren’t great. The interior is ok but the exterior looks a bit odd. Weird side profile- rear lights quite low, front lights too high. Unconvinced at the moment
The interior buttons did not need cleaning up...that was a huge plus point for BMW...sad to see a regression on that side. I'll stick with my 128ti thank you!
Car manufacturers are pushing the annoying bings and bongs of driver’s active safety systems to our face, and yet they think it will be safer to remove as many buttons as possible and put everything on the touchscreen where drivers will have to break their concentration to reach those functions. And this BMW 1 is looking more like a KIA ‘Ceed.
😂😂😂 so they made the front look like a Ford Focus!!!! I had the 2020 one which everyone slagged off and said it looked ugly but THIS?!!!! I’m sorry but the front end on this looks depressed. I loved my BMW but changed due to moving to the countryside. I wouldn’t buy this model it looks sad and I liked the stubby front. It does NOT have a good presence it looks like a focus 😂
