Jesus, Apostles Paul, John, Peter etc made it Very CLEAR that Jesus is the anchor to those WHO FEAR and OBEY Jesus ! But NOT to Anyone else !

If God's Word doesn't get a person to change their life, Obey what Jesus said, Obey His Commandments and pursue a life of HOLINESS than you are NOT saved ! This book and others make that Very CLEAR.

The good news is God is offering imputed righteousness because you believe his report that his son Jesus christ died and rose again to save you from your sins. The whole new testament repentance is (metanoia) which means to have a change of mind from unbelief to believe on the lord Jesus christ. If you're implying that faith alone in christ without repenting of your sins won't save you than what did we need Jesus for if we were able to keep the whole law without offending in one area which is whats required! God wa the first person to ever repent in the bible in genesis. God repented 47 times in the old testament is he a sinner? Judas iscariot never belived on Jesus john chapter 6 but he repented of his sin against christ. The Bible says judas repented himself and returned the silver to the temple yet hes burning hell because he did not believe! Jesus would always say repent and believe the gospel which means change the way you think about me and believe on me. Look how every apostle gave the gospel they never said to anyone repent of your sins and believe. The jews knew the law they were acquainted with repentance from sin they did not believe on jesus christ so thats why repent makes sinse to change the mind. But ive repented of all my sins is a lie from hell if that were possible Jesus died for nothing. Phillip and the eunuch is the perfect example of how one gets saved. These lordship preachers do not give the gospel/good news they give thevlaw first repent of your sins and add more works. Why do you think God put examples of Phillip and the eunuch in scripture ? It's so we know how to evangelize the way God wants us to! Our sins were crucified with christ on calvery our lives are hidden in christ! Repenting of sin to get saved is not what required of us for salvationits required of us for service and discipleship and when we repent of sin we still sin thats why Jesus had to do it for us because sinless perfect is required for salvation! Sorry but faith alone in christ alone by believing is absolutely everywhere in the bible and i was 19 when i got saved and i was an atheist i know i received the holy spirit and i was led by a faith in christ alone preacher. My friends and family could tell because there was a big change in me! Im 43 now ive been studying the kjv only bible for years and i fell into calvanisim for a long time and why idk and it robbed me of my joy my peace my trust and assurance was on me instead of Christ! This is the beautiful of the gospel and God revealed it to me one day. Men used to buy slaves just to set them free and thats exactly what Jesus did for us! Thats what it means in scripture when it says sin has no power over us anymore it cannot condemn us we can not be lost and on the way to hell again! Christ bought us so we belong to him. The whole good news of the gospel is we don't have to worry about every sin we commit we cannot lose our salvation and by knowing that peace and joy abound!

@@fightingwithtruth1698 yes, sorry about the confusion. I was unfortunately sucked into Calvinism right after I had gotten saved by believing the gospel. And just like you, it made my life hell. How do I know I have eternal life? I know because I believe the gospel. That Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day. I too am sick of the Calvinist lordshippers who go around condemning everyone else while failing to acknowledge their own sin and denying that the presence of the old nature still resides in their flesh. Yeah, 1 John is kind of straight forward. These guys have to twist everything. They claim freedom yet are themselves slaves to sin.

Yes, but “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” So, what now? God sent Jesus the only One Who could keep the whole Law for us. Then He paid off our debt to God on the Cross, rose again, was seen walking the earth and ascended to heaven; sent the Holy Spirit to indwell those who believe on His name, and is coming again on an unnamed day to get His bride.

This is HIS Commandment, that we believe on the name of HIS Son, Jesus Christ and That We Love One Another.

God’s power over salvation is evident, He draws, He calls, He gives. Yet we must believe in Christ to be saved. This is a tough subject to wrestle with. In the end God did the work on the cross and saved us, all glory to Him.

Why? Do you not believe in God's Sovereignty over our salvation?

Because you heard a word you shut down, not wise. They said the word but that word you heard is not the same as these guys preach. They believe in Jesus alone by grace are we saved through faith alone and never of yourself.

Faith is not something that you hope might happen. It is an absolute assurance that you HAVE eternal life. You have it or you don't. If God can take the gift of salvation away from you, it wasn't a gift. It's an insult to Christ to think that your two cents worth of "good" even makes a dent in the debt you owe for your sin. That's why Jesus paid it all. Take it or leave it, it's up to you. "Who has bewitched you that beginning in the Spirit you think you are now made perfect by the flesh?" The teaching that works are necessary to keep salvation is a doctrine of devils. Bewitched means that you have been put in a trance or have had a spell put on you. Shake yourself out of it and believe the GOSPEL! The Gospel is the foundation that you build on. Not works! You are making works the foundation. Nobody builds a house without a SURE foundation. Jesus is THE sure foundation. Period. It's so simple and logical if you believe the Gospel. You are trying to put the foundation on top of your house and it will collapse!

What Myles seems to not teach is that Calvin taught that we are to live in Holiness. This Calvinist book by J. C. Ryle A call to Holiness Taught like White. That we are to live in holiness and walk in love. So Myles teaches only Calvinist who agree with him ae saved. That John Wesley and Martin Luther are lost. SDA teach God is love. Not the hate Myles teaches of only limiting a few forced to be saved Do you teach hypocrites go to heaven? Yes or no?

Did you watch the whole video? You accuse these brothers of easy-believism and cheap grace, that seems to be the default accusation from those that believe in Lordship salvation and definitely confuse the law and gospel. So you pray to the Father in fear? You obey the Father out of fear? Really? God is not tender to His own, is basically what you are saying? Anger is seething from your words above. Do you know anything about Theocast, Pastor Justin or Pastor Jon? The damage the modern American churches have done IS the reason why they do what they do. With the beliefs you have, no doubt we might as well go back to Rome, works, and NO assurance.

I am not familiar enough with the term "Lordship salvation" to say whether I believe it or not, but I do know Christ is not the Savior of any person over whom He is not also their Lord. "If you love me you will keep my commandments." The book of 1 John, like the rest of Scripture, is a double edged sword that divides: sheep and goats, wheat from chaff. John's purpose was indeed to increase the assurance of those whose _fruit_ proves them to be regenerate. The neutering of God's word and the blunting of that sword is not love, but hatred. I need the wounds given by God's word, because they are wounds that heal and wounds that God uses to keep His own. Do I pray in fear? Of course I do! All true Christians do. "But the LORD of hosts, him you shall honor as holy. Let him be your fear, and let him be your dread." "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom". "The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life." My challenge to you is to read your Bible from cover to cover, and read some Puritan works and some primary sources from the reformation. You will almost certainly be surprised what you find there.

@@matthewdyer2926 These brothers have not meddled with the truth. And the fear you mentioned in your first comment is not the fear you are referencing in the above passages. You talked of almost a trembling, terrifying fear to come to God. I am not talking holy, reverent fear, of course that happens. But not one that makes a believer either assume God is against him/her, or so much out of fear they don't even approach him. I am talking believers. Not unbelievers, or those false in the church. I have read some Puritans; Bunyan, some of Burroughs, and Edwards. And I definitely have read my Bible entirely. Righteous anger has it's place for sure, but not coming from someone who obviously believes he can obey God out of fear. Nothing do we bring to the table but our sin, and all obedience brought about inside of us is wholly of the Spirit's work in us. I have read primary resources of the reformation and even right now on the English reformation. And what I am surprised about is how far from the tree the American modern church has fallen, which is exactly what Theocast does in helping people to understand and come out of those chains of legalism, fundametalism, and dare I say even patriarchy. They may not state it in their beliefs, but modern churches are wrought with legalistic teaching, keepingn all the focus inwardly, instead of looking outside of ourselves to the ONLY HOPE WE HAVE - and that is Christ Jesus. @@melakellys Yes, they have meddled, and I've proven that. And no, I didn't talk of a fear of coming to God; you may have inferred that for yourself though. Since this is supposedly a theological channel, I assumed my use of the word "fear" would be understood in Biblical context, since we're talking about the Bible. If a professing Christian is living in sin, it is right and good that he should fear God is against him; he is not showing the fruit of true repentance and regeneration. I'm on Apostle John's side here: "no one born of the Spirit makes a habit of sinning". Scripture teaches through and through that we are to obey God out of a holy fear of Him. Reference all of those verses I quoted previously. Read them again. Fear and love are not incompatible, especially as they pertain to God's relationship with His children. In fact, a person who does not fear God absolutely cannot not love Him either. I agree with much of the rest of what you said, short of the bash on patriarchy. Have you thought this through? Is the husband the head of the wife? Are men supposed to lead their families? Does God require church leaders to be men? Have men, by and large, built and shaped every culture throughout history? Are women the weaker vessel? Was Eve created for Adam? This is patriarchy. God designed it, and it is very good. There is no question whether there will be a patriarchy, as patriarchy has been woven by God into the fabric of creation; the only question is whether the patriarchs will be Godly men or wicked men. So long as the Church is plagued with effeminate theology producing limp Christian men, the wicked will advance and continue to rule. Once again, there is no question whether there will be a patriarchy, and it is up to the Church of Jesus Christ to determine the quality of it.

There are no warnings in "the gospel". The gospel is literally good news. The gospel is not "repent and believe". That is our RESPONSE to the gospel, not the gospel itself, which is the glorious work of Christ on our behalf on the cross and through the resurrection. I don't think you're aware at all what the law gospel distinction is and how the Reformed orthodox and Lutherans talked about it.
