Why doesn't Pope Francis write an encyclical explaining why his opinions are true Catholicism and those of his critics are ideology ? Because he knows that his arguments wouldn't stand up to scrutiny.
I am reading “The Synodal Process is a Pandora’s Box” forward written by Cardinal Burke, I believe this book covers the issues, prepares us to understand and identify the false teachings, at the same time invites us to grow in knowledge of the faith. A good way to do this is to read the lives of the saints, scripture…..
I converted 36 years ago (from a baptist sect) and was always novus. Grandma (SSPX) and I had disagreements about n.o. vs. TLM. Over these past several years, I had to admit that Grandma was right. I have been to about a dozen TLMs (I had to drive into the next county), but it was so quiet and reverent that I wept. Francis cracked down on the TLM, and I believe he knows that Catholics CRAVE REVERENCE. My Bishop moved the TLM even farther away last month and 4 hours earlier. Now I go to my parish (only 2 Catholic Churches in my entire county, both n.o.). I weep because people LOUDLY laugh and talk in groups IN THE SANCTUARY after Mass. I went to the chapel and wept to Jesus and Our Lady🌹. Perhaps Francis is happy because he's turning Christ's Catholic Church to something I DON'T WANT TO SHARE.
You are so right! At my church, too, there is loud chatter and laughter after holy mass, and I cringe when I hear it. Often there are still people praying or walking around the inside of the sanctuary, praying the Stations of the Cross. No one corrects them, because there is a general spirit of irreverence. This is the doing of Pope Francis; I guess we should think of it as progress, then, because to insist on reverence would be going backwards.
What Bergoglio calls "Backwardness" or things of the "past" and "nostalgia" (another term he has used before) the Catechism of the Church calls the PERENNIAL teachings of the Church. Perhaps His Holiness do not comprehend the word 'Perennial' actually means CONSERVATIVE in the strict (as opposed to political) sense of the word. He's just showing his true colors as you folks well said...a liberal socialist modernist clergy who just do the same thing his liberal counterparts in the secular world are so much fond of doing, namely...PROJECTING.

Conservative means to me that I am actually practicing my faith. He's older than I am so he knows what I am talking about. Twisting the faith to "fit" these modern times means having no faith at all.

Francis has done and said un-Catholic things. I am willing to be corrected on this, but is it not true that one who is not in communion with the Catholic Church in it’s entirety (including Tradition), is not Catholic? How can a man who is not Catholic be the Pope? So if he is not the Pope, who IS he? Are the sheep who refer to a man as Pope, if he isn’t, then committing sin? There’s that “wolves in sheep’s clothing” thing that Jesus said that keeps rattling around in my mind. Oh well, don’t think too hard about it, it’s only my eternal soul on the line!

We have been forewarned in 2 Peter 3:17 to be on guard so that we may not be carried away by the errors of the lawless, and fall from secure position. In Titus 6:9, "He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine, and refute those who oppose it." In Titus 6:13, "This saying is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply so that they will be in sound faith." We must be on guard, hold firmly of the Traditional Catholic sound doctrine as it has been taught to us by the Apostles, and refute those who oppose it. Therefore we must continue to refute, and rebuke sharply especially the false teachings, heresies, and lies of the modernists that are contrary to the Truth, and their own wicked ways of life that are contrary to be in the state of sanctifying grace, and contrary to the Way of the Cross. These ravening wolves wearing in sheep's clothing who are seeking for the ruin of souls must be excommunicated from the Holy Catholic Church.

Can true north, as determined by a compass change? Yet for centuries generations of Catholics have regarded Catholic orthodoxy and dogma as their moral and spiritual "north star" But now through the synods and the holy father's own decrees that dogma and orthodoxy may be about to change. in order to align the church closer to the spirit of the age. But many Catholics do not believe a pope has the authority to change the bed rock of church teaching.. So now battle lines have formed and conservative Catholics are now the enemy.. What a very, very, sorry state of affairs for the church.
My Pope is and always will be Jesus Christ. No one but no one can replace him or stand in for him especially Jorge Bergoglio who has de facto excommunicated himself Several times.
The problem is that there are people in authority who are Lording it over the people. They are not humbly leading the flock. They are pushing them into a ditch. They are over impressed with their own importance and celebrity. They should rather put themselves in a position of service realizing their own tendency toward error because they are only human beings. The anointing of the seat of St. Peter comes because of his faith in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Without that he can be told by Christ to get behind Him because he is following the dictates of Satan and the ways of man.

To understand Francis, you have to understand that this Pope believes in the false thory of evolution. It follows that God Himself is "evolving" and thus, so is doctrine. The man is simply not Catholic.
Wow. Pot, meet kettle. HE has replaced faith with ideology. God doesn’t change. Man, things must be really bad in Europe and South America if they think American bishops are “conservative”. Priests need to be brave teachers of orthodox Catholic faith, not everyone’s buddy.
If we apply progressiveness to arithmetic, for example, we could say that 2 plus 2 is 5 now, because our understanding of arithmetic has evolved. If we say that 2 plus 2 is 4, we are going backwards, which is useless. The problem with that type of thinking is that truth is always the same. It cannot change because it is not of the same nature as opinion. 2 plus 2 will always be 4, just as God’s teachings are always the same, unchangeable. There is no such thing as “time” for God.
Title and actions are separate. A mother does not lose her title even if she aborts her child. The mother suspends her authority and if she wants to harm another child the child cannot survive under her authority. Pope Francis seems to be mentally incapacitated and so is his staff. The innocent are not safe under Pope Francis or his supporting staff.
Ideology relates to politics . Religion relates to theology . This pope has done the old switcheroo , deliberately confusing the two . Politics is now religion and religion is ideology . Talk about dissembling ?

Doctrine does develop over time; development does not mean abandonment but deeper understanding of the doctrine; the pope did not say anything wrong in that, it is just people read into his words the worst way. They assume development of doctrine is a cover for change of doctrine. The difficulty occurs when one views the pope's development of a doctrine as a change. In that instance then the pope's development of doctrine becomes another man's change of doctrine. On matters of faith and morals the pope is said to be infallible. He is not infallible at a meeting, press conference, on Twitter/X. The fear is due, lately, to the synod, and that fear seems not unreasonable given the loud voices for not mere change but for abandonment of cardinal teachings. People who are thoughtful should take care of pre-categorizing the rather undefined synod and its effects. Yes, in Germany it may be a sin-nod, in other places not. Why worry about it? No point in that at all.
