So what do you think? (also.. Podcast linked below) Shorter answers = More questions answered More detailed answers = Less questions but longer vid...
@christinanieto1104
@christinanieto1104 6 лет назад
Tokyo Lens I think shorter answers for less personal, or non-story inducing questions. You have an engaging style of story telling so I think longer answers are also fun, just not every question needs that. Great video! That park looked lovely!
@stubby4000
@stubby4000 6 лет назад
I kind of want to say both, you should do two styles of videos 1. where its lots of questions and short answers and 2 fewer questions but more detailed answers. Not what you were looking for I know but I think both have value.
@ellen_globetrotter3783
@ellen_globetrotter3783 6 лет назад
you had a lot of great questions and not the typical ones! very interesting video. Like stubby4000, I also love a mix of questions: a series of short answers + a couple of more deep answers. And can not wait to hear your 2 stories in the podcast!! and thanks for showing us again some hidden gems! and wow, the lush green plants are all over the place, incredibly beautiful!
@avfx

Longer as you will pick the subjects with more focus .. while focusing upon your answers with more detail. Thanks once again for your efforts, i am sure i speak on everyone's behalf in our gratitude towards you for this.

I think it would depend on how deep is the question. Deeper question I think would require a more detailed answer.

I'm loving your random wanderings today. I wish more cities would take a leaf (pun intended) out of Tokyo's book and create tiny little green spaces like you have shown us. It's great to see that a city as crowded as Tokyo is willing to leave the green spaces instead of building on them. Ultimately it makes the city a healthier place to live, both physically and mentally. Keep up the good work!

Very interesting video! I liked the length of answers here - I think it's good to have some context to the answer, rather than a few words you don't know the background to. Looking forward to the next video! Like your editing style as well as the content of the videos.

Watching these Q & A vids are not really about hearing the answers for me, rather i enjoy the way you engage with the camera. It for this reason that i'd prefer deeper answers over quicker ones.

I have to agree with some of the folks that said both styles of answers would be great. You get asked both types of questions and you could do a few of each in your Q&A videos or make separate dedicated Q&A videos for each. Also, I loved the shrine and The Grove of Life. Thanks for sharing those with us!

I have a friend that always comes to visit me in Montreal from Winnipeg and I'm always amazed at all the tiny places she find to eat or shop. I grew up here so I think we tend to over-look a lot of our surroundings, but for her it's a new exciting place every time she's here and she wants to soak up as much as possible

Really enjoyed this one and the Q&A wanderings through the side streets. Those Tokyo greenspaces never fail to be absolutely lovely. I really enjoy the narrative aspect to your longer more detailed answers, so I lean more toward those detailed answers with maybe a few short ones thrown in for variety or to keep folks on their toes. As always, thanks for what you do.

My question got answered! YAY! And the Grove of Life was AMAZING, what a lucky find! I gotta agree with you, it's amazing how much greenery Tokyo has considering how populated and urban it is; when I was there I was always amazed that I could be in the middle of tech center and then turn a corner and be surrounded by trees and temples. It was nice and really helped the city not be so overwhelming with it's population. And I'm all for longer answers, getting to know more about you is always fun and your voice is really soothing! :D

Another informative video, Norm. Not only for the Q&A, but also the random location finds. Good work. I’d say shorter/rapid fire Q&As for videos, then longer/more narrative Q&As for podcasts.

Hey Norm, i really enjoyed this Q&A that I actually watched it twice. Seeing Japan (especially Tokyo) through your eyes is truly Awesome! I am sure someone already asked you this before but since you have been in Japan for over a decade, do you see yourself living there in the next 10-20 years? Or would you consider moving back to Canada? I have always wanted to move to Tokyo or Kyoto for a year just to take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life...much harder to do at 39 especially with limited Japanese. I have traveled around Japan 4 times already and i cant wait to explore more. Thanks again for sharing your experiences and giving your viewers another insight to life in Japan.

As a Montrealer, I have never heard of "bag in" at Tim Horton's. Secondly, getting lost in Tokyo is my favourite way to explore Tokyo which made me know some tricks and shortcut better than my Japanese friends especially around Shinjuku (which is a piece of cake for me when i travel back there). And I have a feeling that I will not regret moving there within the next 2 years as it is my goal.
