Love the content. Music takes away from the beautiful ambient sounds of sailing. Fair Winds 😊⛵️🚐🌴

Thanks for the informative video. Sadly the voice is a bit muffled, it might benefit from a bit of EQ to boost the mid-treble frequencies. At the very least, make the music *much* quieter so we have more chance of understanding what's being said. Thanks!

Hey!! Thanks so much, your entirely right… that was quite a while back, we’ve learned a lot since then - still a long way to go mind! Any help is much MUCH appreciated! (Please don’t look at the last video either…. We had new mic’s as I literally dropped the last one in the water a couple of days earlier. Thankfully… I think we have learned a lot in even the last month 😂👍 Serious though, cheers for commenting, I think it’s awesome when people want to help us! 👍

A great insight to being a crew member. Maybe I'll try it one day.....I'll be sure to bring my own tomato ketchup 😀

Are my land dwelling skills transferable?... Gas Engineer/Heating Engineer/Plumber? Should I take some diesel courses as my technical qualification is 'Mechanical Engineer'?
@SailHub
@SailHub Год назад
Hi! It’s a tough call, if your hands on and understand mechanics well then your onto a winner! Diesel engines are pretty much the same, but there are differences such heat exchangers, impellers and vented loops to think about - maybe reading is enough? If your unsure after some reading then take a course, it could be an embarrassing and expensive position to end up in. In general we would say just get out and do some crewing, it won’t be hard to get on a boat with your level of skill - It’s fun and with your existing knowledge you will pick it all up quickly!

How do you get certified?
@SailHub
@SailHub Год назад
That depends on the country you are in and the certification you want. Check out the RYA in the U.K. and Google Sailing ICC and sailing SlC for other countries, that should give you a starting point 👌

Hi guys ... great aünd informative videos. One tip. Your music is kindaü stressfull. Weather I listen to loud music or listen to you. As Iam on your channel Iaüm here in order to watch your videos.. it would be much better when your music is a bit less loud or just not there. The dynamic is with you unnessesary as you guys are dynamic enough ;=) Thanks four videos and have a great time. Wishing you well Patricia
