I said I wasn't going to get these brushes. I clicked on your video. I am literally at the one minute mark. I clicked your link and bought the brushes. LOL. Thank you, Rebecca!
I got the bundled Rephr foundation & concealer brush using your link! Very excited, as I've never used a Rephr brush! $30 for the two brushes is really a fantastic deal🤩
I ordered the rephr brushes. I love this brand. Sonia G brushes have been on my radar for some time and this set is no exception but I can’t get my mind around the prices. The handles are beautiful. And others have tempted me but so far have resisted. I love Viseart and lip color so pretty on you.
Thank you so much, Karen. Yes. The prices are very steep and you’re paying for the craftsmanship which, sometimes it’s hard to swallow when you’re just looking to use a tool
Hi dear Rebecca, thanks for all the info about these brushes, super good video, thank you!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I ordered the Rephr set, i believe last week, Sonia, i still have so much of her brushes, they look gorgeous and its also € 234.50 until it's here in NL/EU for 4 brushes. But they are art works!!! It's that i still swimm in eyeshadow brushes, also from Sonia, but gorgeous they are! Wishing you a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Yes! I ordered the Rephr bundle last night. Such a great deal. The Sonia G brushes are beautiful. I just don’t need or want more eye brushes. I wish she would have made a blush brush. I’ve been collecting high end Japanese brushes for 45 years. My husband was stationed in Japan for 21/2years many years ago. He thought the brushes were amazing and sent me many. Then, I continued to purchase brushes directly from Japan. Many are just for display as they are antiques. Returning to Rephr, they have a reward system for doing reviews. I guess you can say, I’m a recovering brushaholic!😂❤
I’m excited about the Rephr concept store brushes! I ordered yesterday! I love that you used the Koi brushes with the Coy palette!! That was adorable!! 💕💕💕 The Sonia G Koi brushes are so beautiful. I’m 100% sure I’d love them and they’d be worth every penny. I do love the persimmon dyed Sonia brushes I already have. I’m holding off because I already have so many beautiful brushes. I keep going back and forth because they’re beautiful and great shapes, but $200+ is a lot. Right now I just want them to sell out so the decision is made for me! 😂
Isn’t that funny. I think there’s a lot of that going on where people are like if they sell out then I can feel FOMO but I can’t do anything about it. It’s kind of hard to see that they’re still sitting there beckoning.
Hi Rebecca! Thank you so much for featuring these new brushes. I appreciate knowing that the new Rephr brushes are softer than the original. The Sonia G brush set is very pretty and each brush seems to have a useful purpose (they’re not just going to sit pretty on my table). Love the green shade on your eyes. Thanks again!
Hi Rebecca! I have not commented in awhile. I need to comment more. I was watching your brush video today and I would love help with my brushes. I have just about all of Sonia G's brushes and I own EVERY SINGLE REPHR BRUSH! I started with Rephr with the very first launch with Kickstarter. I also have a great love for double ended brushes. My issue is always which brush to use where. If you could maybe one day pull some of what you consider your favorite brushes to use on which parts of your face, that would help me tremendously. I can sort of wing it, but recently, I have really been leaning on my double-ended brushes. They are so quick. I would love just basic 101 help when you get a chance. Thanks!
I really like the top five idea. That’s the one I’ve been kicking around the most. Or at least top five I top five cheek maybe. My storage is chaotic at this point. I have them stored and organized but I hate the way it’s done so I need to come up with a better system before I share it
Well you know I got the Rephr brushes 😊 I can't decide on the Sonia G because I really like that bristle type, it's the same as her traditions brushes, so my question is are any of these new brushes similar in shape to the traditions brushes 🤔
I’m gonna have to look and see. They are similar to be honest with you but similar and exact are very different. I need to probably do that on my Instagram page. I’ll do that
Oh Rebecca - you temptress. I am with Debbie and very much would appreciate your honest feedback in comparing the shapes and „useability“ to the regular traditions kakishibu set. ( and maybe the traditions select 2024 set ). I splurged on the Sunset Cranes maki-e set and am saving up for one of the newer sets to compliment and support the holiday release. ( I own lots of rephr and some Sonia G and Wayne Goss brushes ). The handles are beyond beautiful and the inspiration and craftsmanship simply outstanding. But it is also a lot of money. My aim is to only save up for and own things that bring me joy when looking at them AND using them. Less things alltogether but well curated. Thank you Rebecca for always being so very fast in presenting new releases and your fresh and unique approach in how to use a product. Have a lovely Sunday.
@@NotFitforPrintBeautyI couldn’t resist and ordered them. I received them today. They are even more stunning in person. I can’t wait to play with them tomorrow morning.
I love Sonia G brushes soooo much! I need to wash these new ones and I especially love the persimmon bristles. I feel like they apply differently than other bristles even within her line. I purchased the last Rephr set and I’m going to pick up this one as I’m very curious about the improvements. I wonder why they didn’t revise the other brush from the last set too? Maybe folks didn’t have issues with the flat brush that was in that trio. I’m curious about your favorite synthetic, as there are more high quality synthetics on the market now. As you mentioned, synthetic are great for creams and liquids, and I agree. I have found powder products come to life with natural brushes with the exception of some gelee formulas, like CT Glowgasm face palettes. I’m also curious how you store your brushes!! I have two of those Sonia G wooden holders, which I love and a few cups. I also have the Sonia G brush holders. I’m all over the place with my brush storage. Also what do you do with those cute little brush holders she sends with her brushes?
Oh these are the massive questions that always live in my head. Right now I just have those pretty decorative boxes over to the side as I would never throw them away but they really don’t hold anything kind of get in the way. I have two of her wooden brush holders but they are overridden with brushes at this point. I’m always ways to organize them and I’m never satisfied with what I have and how I’m organizing
Hi lovely Rebecca !! Thanks for showcasing these new brushes . Love these brands . I totally have enough brush sets at the moment, but I will purchase a single one if it’s amazing. Love your lip combo ❤ do you have a lip liner on with the gloss ? 🤗
Can you recommend a brush to use on shadows that perform best with a finger tip? I realize it may not yield perfect result but I don’t like the tugging and sometimes I’m clumsy.
Softest and gentlest would be either sable from ESUM or the blue squirrel from Surratt. If you need to pick up more product, then definitely any goat hairbrush. Here’s the thing, these products that need the warmth of the fingertip to kind of melt them onto the skin, like lid toppers and such, will pick up with goat hair but they won’t melt as much if they need that warmth from your finger so if you want no tugging at all, then those first super soft hairs but they don’t pick up as much product as goat. To best replicate the amount of product possible from the finger without the warmth, a flat laydown brush in goat hair. Rephr has a ton and so does Sonia. All Perfect.
Hi Rebecca! Thanks for the early information and as always that’s a lovely look. A couple of questions if that’s okay. Is the Rèphr concealer brush anything like the BK Beauty Angie Hot n Flashy concealer? The first prototype Rèphr produced was far too dense for me but this one looks a bit fluffier… from a distance. Also does the persimmon dye on the Sonia G brushes have any effect on the way they lay down product or is it mainly an aesthetic thing? Unless they’re really different sadly I don’t think I can justify the Sonia Gs on looks alone, because I have a number of hers already which seem almost identical to these. But I think I’m probably a Fude philistine and important nuances are passing me by. I’d love to try the Rèphr prototypes but postage to the Uk is pretty high unless you buy a certain amount of stuff which kind of negates the point of rushing to get the products cheaper in production so… I can’t believe I’m making at effort to be rational about this.
I love your questions. And no one, no matter what they say, other than Sonia G, is actually a fude expert so your questions are very logical. The persimmon can help disguise any sort of discoloration that comes with use overtime, but it doesn’t really do anything towards the laydown of the product. So super good question. The new refer are definitely a little bit fluffier but they have a different feel than the BK beauty. Both are wonderful but the BK beauty is a little bit denser packed. I am a fan of both and probably would choose the rephr for foundation and the Angie hot and flashy for concealer
