Been using for a couple of years. Helps getting contacts in tricky places (if the next tooth is farther), if you place the shovel handle incisally (up).
I use flat plastic and curl the clear strip like ribbon for wrapping Xmas presents. The curled clear strip wraps around tooth, additional wedges if you wish too.
I've been using bioclear preformed mylar anterior matrices. They are incredible but expensive. And do have a bit of a learning curve to then. They are aimed more so at filling in black triangles, which is very technique sensitive, but they also can be used for class 3 and 4 fillings or closing diastema and they're great for it
Actually 😂, it 's n't be used like that It is placed Vertically to restablish the proximal surface of anterior teeth with proper contour and its hand is used to restablish and proper wide contact area between two centrals without worrying about open contact or improper contour from sectional matrices
I use them all the time for anterior filling. You get a tight broad contact. Currently they're out of stock, if anyone knows how to order these please let me know. They have a bigger one perfect for MFDL restorations.
Guys just use normal molar or premolar sectionals in a vertical position. It works just as well if not better and you also get to limit your inventory.
