Avarakkai/ Lima Beans Puli kootu by Masterchefmom: 1 cup = 250 ml cup 1/4 kg Lima Beans/Avarakkai 1/2 cup toor dal 1/8 tsp turmeric powder Pressure cook the above with 2 cups of water for 3-4 whistles and switch off. Soak marble size tamarind in warm water and extract juice. Grind, 1/4 cup coconut, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp jeera and 2-3 dry red chilli ( adjust) into a paste using water. Once the pressure releases, open the cooker, place it back on low flame, add the tamarind juice, ground masala and let it cook for 6-7 mins. Temper with coconut oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves , chana ,urad dal and pinch of asafoetida. Pour it over the kootu and our delicious Puli kootu is now ready!!! Tastes so heavenly. No, for sambar the ingredients u add is different, like dhania, vendhayam, chana dal and red chillies v fry and add. This looks different. For kootu also v don't add mustard while grinding

அவரைக்காய் வேக 1 விசில் போதும், பருப்பு வேக 3 விசில் தேவைப்படும். 2 ஐயும் ஒன்னா வேக விட்டா சமைக்கும் நேரம் குறைக்கலாம், ஆனால் இது மிக சரியாக சமைக்கும் முறையல்ல.
