+jazzbo48 Hi, great question. My sax school is really aimed at beginner and intermediate players so whatever your level, even if you're just getting started, there are a bunch of lessons for you. Hope that helps. More info at www.mcgillmusic.com
Hello Nigel can I ask a quick one. I play tenor and I know you have done a video for this song for tenor so thanks. But if there is a song you have shown only with alto is there a way I can covert the keys so I can play on my tenor. Thanks for all your videos
+Lewis Simply swinging Great question Lewis. If you aren’t playing with the backing track, then there is no issue with playing alto music on tenor or vice versa. However, if you are using the BT, then you will need to transpose the music up a 4th (or 5 half steps). It’s a difficult transposition - basically G becomes C, D becomes G. don’t forget to change the key signature too. The easier option is to become a Sax School member - I provide all my lessons in alto and tenor keys! Hope that helps.
One year later I've managed to buy my first alto sax, and this is the first song I'm learning to play. Also I'm saving money to enter the McGill School of Sax. How beautiful is life.
