How is the Symphony Palms at Havelock, Room type: Lagoon Suite. Recent reviews on TA are bad. Need suggestions. Planning a trip in Feb 2022.

Hi Yeeramsetti Bhai. We are really really sorry we cant give you any update regarding that. Because post Covid alot have changed. Some hotels started giving better service because they try to win back the customers hearts. some hotel couldnt continue with the service they have before because of the operational cost. BUT Symphony Palms is one of our best selling hotels in Havelock. We have sold more rooms of Symphony Palms hotel compared to all other hotels in Havelock, Neil Island and Port Blair combined. But in regards of the customer experience, we have to be honest and cant tell you much about the current conditions.

In a way what we feel is Symphony is reasonably priced. Us being a small agency itself, have got quite a number of rooms to Symphony. we are assuming that Symphony is pretty famous amongst travellers because of its location, budget and facilities. It is not that very expensive, location is also very practical being very close to everything. Now in regards of service and bad reviews in TA. it is very difficult to say - because in India standards are very very different. What might be amazing for some, might be ok for many. what might be ok for some might be really bad for many. We would say, if you can afford a more expensive hotel, then its fine to get a better hotel. But if Budget wise Symphony is good. then i would advice you not to think too much regarding the bad hotel reviews, because at times, even the best hotel might still give you a bad experience. So it happens from time to time. we would suggest to stick to your budget. enjoy you holiday as much as you can. at the end of the day. whether service and facilities are good or not - if you have a good attitude. it wont matter much.

Hi Shreyansh, really sorry for the late reply. But it mostly depends on the weather, Island life is pretty different as the weather is very unpredictable there. Neil Island would be our recommendation.

Hi Priyaji. Good Morning. If you are planning a Trip to Andaman Nicobar. We suggest you spend maximum time in Havelock. Well even though port blair is beautiful but it is advisable you spend maximum time in Havelock. Port Blair is more like a city and Havelock is more of the fun, party, relaxing and have a good time area. there is hardly any reason to visit Neil Island once you are already in Havelock.

We recommend you to rent a bike costing around 500rs/day in alot of the bike rental available there. it is a small island, and moving around by bike will give you the best convienience. in regards of what to do. well the island tourism is basically relaxing by the beach and enjoying the various beach resorts and various foods and sunsets. There is also the option of diving, snorkeling and other water sports but they are quite costly and if you are not that adventurous we recommend spending more on getting a good hotel / resort. Coz frankly speaking the vibe of this place and the beautiful resorts do just make you want to spend more time in the resorts.

Our guest normally spend an average of 4 days 3 nights in Havelock Island, and some spend an extra day in Port Blair (if their connecting flight is somewhat not matching up their itenary). But 4 Days 3 Nights should be a decent and nice holiday. Most of the activities happens in the north region. we do recommend you to visit Taj on the west side of the island and just to grab a drink and enjoy their resort. it is stunning. If the budget permits, staying at Taj would be the best experience. Otherwise, a Majority of our clients choose staying in Symphony Palm Beach Resort. Not as Fancy and exotic as Taj but more lively and more close to the main area of Havelock and way more budget friendly compared to Taj.

Hi Nirav, The hotels are pretty decent, and our suggestion is that if the travel agent have already given you this package, then its better to go with them and negotiate with them. Since they would be having different collaborations with hotels. Every travel agent have different deals with different hotels, and it might get difficult / more expensive if you want a specific hotel that is not covered by the agents list.

Yes Brother. 😅 Taj Hotel in general are quite pricey & expensive for the average India. We live quite close to one of Taj's most famous property. The Taj Palace Hotel in Mumbai. Room rates also comes in the same pricing standard, we also do have the same doubts with you. It's crazy how expensive Taj is...

But, then again. Whenever we pass Taj Palace, be it in the morning, afternoon or even at night. There is always a huge traffic coming in and out of the hotel. Frankly speaking I don't know how they can afford it but. Hey maybe we are not in that category of rich yet 😅 but it always inspires us to work harder and reach a level where staying at Taj is considered affordable. 😍

However Taj being a Tata Group do realize this issue. They launched a number of other sub brands for their hotel. Something in the range of a more affordable. But the brand Taj Hotels is known for its highest premium service provided in the hotel industry. It is India's most premium hotel chain. And if their pricing works. Means that there are customers for it. Maybe not the general population but for the rich and famous of India. India is one of the countries having the richest people in the planet. So yeah it does make sense if you see it from that way
