This scared me so much I almost cancelled my scan. Thankfully it was nothing like this and over in 5 mins, I was allowed home 15 mins later. Needle was in arm and I could wear my own clothes for head and neck scan. Obviously, like all scans, no metal items to be worn.
I was in hospital for a week for cellulitis and had a scan of my leg two months later they rang me to say that the results of the scan was not picked up by the right consultant and that I had a blood clot in my poptieal vein and coukd I get to the hospital quicky to the ambulary unit - 2 months later conckusion failed discharge or incompetence
Is it have any bad effect on some patients? I'm only 16 years old..Doctor said that she wanted me to take CT scan..She said it maybe have bad effection but rarely happen..so I don't know ..I'm scared right now
@verillyan delon i'm sorry i don't really have any suggestion 🌸 but i think you should not worry about it and try to spend your time with everything that makes you happy ^-^ My doctor said it is rarely happened to young people 🤗 and it is low risk for them You need to know that the scan is important for yourself to know how was your condition and definitely to diagnose your condition in a better way 🙆 So , just don't worry okay ? 💙 The scan surely helps doctor to know what is the best further treatment for you Hope you always in a good health and may you always be happy 💓 Cheer up !
