Yea, in Super. Frieza Exploded Earth Then Whis said Frieza's type of species can survive that. He literally 'sacrificed' himself to destroy the world, but yea Whis rewinded time-
@@thedoglovinggamer5825First of all, I am Vegeta. Second of all, you're not Vegeta. Third of all, you wanna be Vegeta but you can't be Vegeta, because I'm Vegeta
GT vegeta: I won't lose another homeworld Kakarot we must fuse or otherwise all is lost Super Vegeta: I'd never fuse with a clown like you, even though we've done this a dozen times!
"Ive heard trunks talk about that" *signiture move of trunks and goten that they have used countless times in front of him, including at bulmas birthday party against lord beerus"
@@enmunapsuuuure whatever you say buddy, next thing I know you’d be telling me something ubsured like the earth isn’t actually flat or Santa isn’t real
“Now hold up a second, having a name would be much cooler.” I swear on Zeno, that was Vegeta talking, making sure that Frieza gets bullied as much as possible while not using too much of the fusion time limit.
Hold on, shouldn’t they have also waited for the fusion to be ready? Just like gotenks needed on the buu saga, and it was supposed to be an hour to recharge after the 30 min fusion….. meaning almost 3 hours until they got it right 😂.
Yeah, there’s supposed to be an hour before you can fuse again. But the writers just forgot about that plot point. Then again, they forget about this plot point very often. It’s possible that they could have waited an hour before trying to fuse again in Fusion Reborn after Veku, but we don’t see a montage or timeskip of them waiting. They just try again right away. In GT, Goku and Vegeta try to fuse again right after they defuse when it shouldn’t have worked unless they waited. So I can’t blame Broly’s writers for forgetting and just letting them immediately fuse again. Show is usually remembered and trusted more than tell.
@@Monorack Ok, so I looked it up. If the fusion is successful, then there is an hour cooldown. If it fails, then you can try again right away. That makes sense
The more I watch this movie...the less I like it. Broly is awesome, but after rewatching Z Vegeta isn't anywhere near the man he was at the end. He was humble and prideful, he took Goku's words at the Supreme Kai's planet seriously. He was fully committed to Earth and his life their. Abandoned almost all of his old Saiyan clothing aside the clothes, spoke to Goku with nothing but reverence and respect, and showed none of the self-centered traits he once had. He accepted his place in the universe, and although no longer felt any need to prove himself better than Goku, still wanted push himself not because he needed to, but because he wanted to. I don't see that man anywhere in Super, and yes, I do expect that man to be present after the Buu Saga. It wasn't just Goku that got butchered in Super, Vegeta suffers a lot as well. And that man isn't the type to get upset over fusing with Goku anymore, or has any disdain for the ritualistic dance. GT did so much better portraying their personalities and it's a true shame we didn't get those dudes instead.
Yeah, you're reading too much into a simple funny Dragon Ball scene. This was pure comedy on the writers part to make a lighthearted moment before we got Gogeta in the movie. Honestly if you really think Super ruined Vegeta at all, then you clearly don't understand this series.
@@Sugar_SpiceDB7ZS I understand the series just fine, in that Super isn't anything like OG, Z, or even GT. And it objectively sucks for it. I hate that it plays so safely making everyone static, with no real development at all in design, attitude, or personality. Fight scenes don't have any brutality in them anymore and are literal kiddie shit. No blood(aside coughing big deal), no bruises, just scuff marks. If someone gets a hole shot through them, there's just a black mark where there should be a hole. The animation is grossly bright and round instead of it's original sharp and dark atmosphere. This sucks. Stop acting like there's deeper meaning just to sound smart, you're not and just don't like hearing that Super sucks ass.
@@shadowedsoul So how does anything you just said mean Vegeta is regressed? There's no need to get this upset over a gag manga/anime show that Dragon Ball is rooted to, I stand by what I said in that you really don't understand this series.
@@Sugar_SpiceDB7ZS Vegeta was a lot more mature at the end of Z, he *was not* the same person as Super portrays him as. They completely two different people. End of Z Vegeta isn't the insufferable moron that objects to fusion anymore, nor is he the braindead buffoon that needs to be emotionally blackmailed into doing what's right. I'm hyper specifying this.
@@shadowedsoul This scene was just a funny moment, I really can't believe you're reading too much into it. I've had this discussion with a number of fans about DBS Vegeta, people like you thinking the man regressed when in fact it's the opposite. First off, End of Z happens AFTER Super not BEFORE, so that right there is strike one to your claim of regression. Second, at the end of the Buu saga Vegeta had just turned over a new leaf in his thinking and his relationship with Kakarot aka Goku. All throughout Z he thought Goku was inferior to him and belittled Goku throughout the whole time, it was at the end of the Buu saga where he just started to respect Goku and his way to strength. This didn't mean Vegeta thought Goku was better than him and didn't want to see him as a rival anymore, but it did give him genuine respect and pride in his fellow Saiyan. Now we hit Super, taking only a short while after this arc and Vegeta is still adjusting to this way of thinking, he had his old moments in the beginning of Super at times between BoG and RoF, but as Super went along he started to apply more and more the lesson he learned at the end of the Buu saga. Third, Vegeta in Super genuinely cares for his family and would never do what he did with Babidi again, he chose his family over fighting in the Zeno expo because of that love, he trains with Goku in Super unlike in Z which he never did once including GT, and in the ToP when he fought G.o.D Toppo he wasn't fighting for himself, he fought for his family, his universe, and a fellow Saiyan he made a promise to, not to mention later on he gave one of the best speeches in the series to UI Omen Goku when he was fighting Jiren; "Come on Kakarot, find a way! I entrusted everything to you! My pride, my promise, everything! I won't tolerate failure! Trespass into the domain of the gods, and use that might to conquer Jiren. DO IT KAKAROT!!!" Now you tell me where in Kami's name do you see a regressed character from the end of the Buu saga in anything I typed other than a change of clothes, which in they later give back to him in the manga, and speaking of it don't get me started on the manga last two arcs cause there's even more character development for Vegeta there that we never thought we'd see.
@@Dr._GroovyDude The first canonical time Goku and vegeta ever did the fusion dance was literally fusion reborn, we have to learn the definition of canon before we start saying stuff dude
You gotta hand it to Frieza, though. He survived for at least an hour and a half against Broly. I mean, yeah, he was ragdolled to Hell and back during that time, but he at least went the distance while doing so.
They really didnt need to fuse in this movie And if it was life or death they would needed it to be faster 30min for each failed fusion would be 1 hour The earth would have been destroyed by then This movie is really just a bunch of fan service If it was really so pressing that they had to fuse then and there they could have either praciced in the tine chamber or got the potara It just makes more sense
Honestly, I personally wouldn't worry too much about wasting time trying a fusion, and worrying about the earth being done for when you got Broly just straight up making a practice dummy out of Frieza.
I know it kind of makes sense for them to have a similar personality to Vegetto but I prefered Gogeta to be his own being like in Fusion Reborn, there was no cockyness just doing what needs to be done. Also personally I liked the croissant vest more, it distinguished him from Gotenks but I guess the fusion dance should give all of them the same type of clothing.
This Gogeta is a little playful, but not nearly as much as Vegito. When it was time to actually fight, Gogeta wasted no time or energy. He beat Broly efficiently and was about to finish the job once it was clear that he couldn’t fight anymore.
goku: let's hit the "i wi" utto. vegeta: o, it's emarrassig! picollo: get it right, we do't have time for this. meawhile broly(casually taking a whole hour grinding frieza into chalk):
Serious thought. The tournament of power was like 48 mins, and a lot fighting happen in that time because of how fast they are. To think about that along with the fact that freiza basically got whaled on for over an hour. Freiza is flipping durable lol. Anybody else would have died after the first fail.
See! The biggest issue is that Piccolo says the line wait another 30 mins. If he said failed fusions dissolve in 5 mins...fine! I can believe that Freeza was fighting for 10 mins that's believable ......but for an hour!?......No! Absolutely not!
Sorry, I had to stop while they were figuring out the name. Couldn't stand the jump cuts anymore. Funny at first, but got old soon. Maybe use it a little more sparingly? It's a good idea. But a great scene by itself. 👍
i think vegeta is just resistant to the idea of fusing his power with another warrior (_ESPECIALLY goku_) in general. i see it as a in-universe excuse as to why they don't just use the profoundly broken fusion technique more often.
I love how no one talks about fact that Goku Emotionaly Manipulated Vegeta here, and thats not even first time when he is doing such thing, remeber Elder Kaioshin? Bro is not dumb
