Happy 4th Fam! A little late in watching but here now. As far as church and having been on a praise team for 20 years, the band was paid but the singers were not. I had no problem because singing for God is a gift and an honor and that is priceless. I never expected to be paid. As far as paid rehearsals, gigs... sadly a lot of very talented fellow musicians are not getting paid their worth. Between all the jams and open mics which are great but the assumption is that they can come sit in, or they can work for less. That is where we all need to do better. Support your musicians, if you are not paying a cover, compensate and bless them in a different way. Promote each other, refer one another. You are blessed so you can be a blessing.
