I been having nothing but problems with my 21 RR. Bought it brand new. Fork seals went 1 month after owning it Rear suspension went My bike kept shutting off for no reason. Always getting codes up saying bring it to dealership Tension bolts went on me Front callipers were leaking and one injector wasn't working. My carbon front rim was cracked. This all happened with 7 months of ownership. Didn't ride hard. Bmw stood by there product. I bought a few bikes from my dealership in syndey Australia. Dont trust it really. Should of bought the R1. Hopefully they do the same to you. Come to syndey Australia for rides. You will be welcomed with open arms. Let's go baybee

As long as you don’t void your warranty they will stand behind your bike. This is why any new bike I ride stays bone stock until the warranty is over.

Not so for the M1000RR. The #2 cylinder has had issues from the factory whether or not the bearing cap was torqued properly and by the time you find out, its too late and they have denied this fix on more than 15 bikes we are tracking so far. 1 guy nutted up for a new engine and all in with 619 miles on it 55k, sheeeeeiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttt thats the cost of the H2R. I avoid the M1000RR for this reason. If THAT'S the way ya treat your customers Fukkkkkkkkk BMW. They said he over revved it by 250 rpms and are blaming that for the damage...no freakin way that caused that damage. Poor Q&A caused that damage.

I usually add a slip on and safety items like frame sliders. Cosmetics don't count. I wonder if slip ons cause warranty issues.

@@detricklowe624 Tricky cause some slip ons have less backflow pressure than the stock ones which means lean fuel mixture which eats pistons. But If ya can do a flow analysis and re-mapp the mixture it should be good to go. Keep that technical data but BMW WILL fukk ya over for ANY reason they can find, trust me. 1 guy did a video out of Florida that had literally 600 miles on his bike and he over revved it by 250 rpm's during breakin and they turned down his engine replacement due to that. I've definitely lost faith in BMW Motorad cause the issue showed up in other owner's bikes and is a QA Issue at the plant with the #2 crank bearing cap being improperly torqued. Dude put a new engine in it for the whopping sum of 15K. For that price (55K ALL IN) i WOULDA RATHER HAVE BOUGHT THE H2R and been much happier.

It's crazy how bad the S1K engine is. youtube is filled with videos of s1k/m1k blowing up after 2-3 pulls, reddit as well, forums as well, reports coming from dealer employees that the failure rate is insanely high, if so many engines blow up at this nearly break in miles I don't even want to know what happens after 10k miles or years down the line. While I do know my gen 3 hayabusa is not a track bike I'm so glad I went for it, 25 years of trial and tested engine. Bullet proof.

Im not a BMW hater or anything actually a huge fan of the bikes but the newer S1K and M1K have been LOTS and LOTS of issues. BMW needs to get slme better quality assurance before people drop the brand completly

Titanium connecting rods meant for WSBK are brittle, not as strong as the steel rods for the non-RR models. These are designed to last just a few races

My 2022 S1000RR had the same coolant leaking problem (slowely dripping), but it's only cause it was still low mileage. Took it to the dealer and they also wanted to replace the water pump under warenty. They ordered it and while I was waiting for the part, still riding the bike the leak just went away. I told the dealer that there is no leak anymore and the coolant reservoir level is not dropping, so I asked them not to change it, you know... if it's not broke, don't fix it... You might have some problem after the fix. Got around 6k miles on my bike now with some track days on it and still no leak.

I like the idea of getting either a dedicated track bike you go nuts on with the build or a naked, which you don’t have. The XR has a similar engine to RRs. If I trade in the 2024 XR is on the short list for sure. 170HP + comfort.

Ok ok well i had the same issue with my 2009 r1 dripping from the wheep hole new pan new gaskets hardest part of the job is the fairings and exhaust. R1 is up inside just like that. Great video as always keep up the hard work man.

As an up-and-coming technician, more work on the bikes would be awesome and honestly helpful to a lot of people depending on which issues you have vs what they have. Streetfighter over Single R for a naked bike any day. The essence of a Streetfighter is the around town ripper and the V4 just hits so much different on the torque curve. I absolutely love my SP2 Streetfighter, such a fun bike.

That dealer is your first problem. They just lost Ducati brand because of their issues. My buddy and I ordered 2 new Bimmers 3yrs ago, got a text that they were in production shortly thereafter. Then out of the blue, we were told “BMW kicked our orders out of the system”. Spoke to the regional from BMW, they don’t punt orders from the system, dealer never placed our orders. Then one of the “kids” at the dealer took my buddies old bike 2019 GSA for a joyride (not a mechanic), after spending 1.25hrs at a bar. He lifted the seat & disconnected the camera system, but the kid never turned off the GPS tracker and the owner had the whole joy ride captured. While knowing all the answers, he questioned the powers at be, and was lied to about every detail. Riding at 85mph in a 35 zone with speed bumps, post visit to the bar(no idea of BAC, but anyone’s guess). Dealers matter, my BMW dealer is the best group, from the owner on down to the porters that wash & deliver my bikes back & forth.

Appreciate you posting this. And no, it doesn't seem like your complaining at all. At the least , it would be cool if bmw covered the problems . But like you said, not everyone can have as many bikes as you. So it would suck to drop 40k on a bike and go to ride when the weather is nice. And gotta wait for the warranty claim to possibly cover it, then wait to get fixed or buy and fix it Yourself. And if you drop 40k and don't have another bike to ride that really sucks

I'm a BMW fan for sure, love my 22 S1000RR and these new M bikes are just next level. HOWEVER if you are wanting a street fighter I rate you should cop a Kawasaki ZH2 just because why the F not. They definitely ain't the prettiest but sheesh you can't argue with that supercharger one bit. Content would be super unique to you too

@@sajonia29I've seen a handful of complaints on RU-vid. The only one that I can remember by RU-vid channel is on motomillion's channel. But looking at his complaint, I'd say it was his fault. I saw a couple of other videos that claimed that their stock m1kRR engines blew. You might have to Google bmw m1000rr engine blown to see the other complaints. I don't have a way to prove if the complaints are legit, though.

My 23 s1k has been AWESOME zero problems but I m pretty sure all the M s have issues. My BMW is best cycle I have ever bought, stage 1 - 3 bren tune, flow stacks etc full exhaust etc its awesome and set up to run e 85 for 110 octane and never lost a race and out ran cops many times.

I’am sorry I find it hilarious everyone over looks a 6x WSBK champion 2023-ZX-10-RR!! I have had 0 ZERO issues with my Kawasaki!! All I do is change oil and rip the shit out of it!!! My bike was $30k, and yes it has factory cruise control!!! Team Green Baby!!

40k is nothing these days. Tahoes at 80 to 100k base model cars going for 30k, this bike is premium for 40k. If you want bullet proof then spend 100k+. Money isn't worth much anymore.

Take a look into the Z900 ABS/SE Models, I own one and i think it a perfect daily. Kawi reliable and very commuter friendly with tons of power for the street

The s1000xr is literally a S1000rr motor in an adventure style body so if you want a epic dayly without sacrificeing power and speed I would get the xr instead of a m1000r but abviosly the M1000r is a top of the line bike and you often mention how you like to buy top of the line stuff but just personally I would get the xr 👍🏻
