Havoc Demon Hunter FINALLY Got Changes!

While these changes are MASSIVE or anything, they are a step in the right direction! Aldrachi DH still remains INCREDIBLY strong (33% ahead of Felscarred) but FINALLY improving fel-scarred is a huge step! And the tuning suggests to me more is to come. While i still wish some of the base issues could be fixed, I'll take this

Do you know if a none mover build is going to be viable at all? I haven't played wow since the end of S2DF - I don't enjoy the momentum builds :( I used to main DH from legion through to SL however moved to rogue, Thanks!

@@KUROHlTSUGl for raid very much yes, no mover and mover are pretty close to each other in raids, and have been for a bit. Mover is better, but is obviously harder to play. If you want to play no mover there you very much can In m+ mover is further ahead, but there are no mover builds you can play. Will just depend on what level of key you’re aiming to do

AR nerf is certainly coming soon, and just by the design of the hero trees, it feels like blizzard intends for AR to be single target and FS for AoE. At least for havoc.

What average dps do other specs have? How does 1.6 and 1.1 mil stack against the other specs?

@@blackopsy9 Ye I don't care how strong AR is, I refuse to play a spec that is so convulated and clunky to play.. Idk how we went from S3/S4 rotation with an insane tier set that revolves around throw glaive to this.

Would fel-scarred no mover be decent enough for heroic raids ? and keys at a portal level?

can play basically anything at that level and have it be fine, but yes Fel-scarred isnt crazy behind other specs anymore. That being said, No mover fel scarred is currently the worst build by a solid amount, but its certainly playable

Do you see any changes coming to stat priority with the expansion? Basically wondering if running Fel - scarred and the bigger fury pool change stats a bit?

@@TimBrennan-y7e bigger fury pool does next to nothing, stats are going to remain mostly the same as current, with maybe a touch more haste but still a crit/mastery lean

Though this might be a nothing burger right now, they did atleast make changes for fell scarred in a better way and may compete least in m+ now? Hopefully they do a lil more tuning cause I did not think they would change anything anymore for havoc aswell.

Fel-Scarred is good for VDH because uptime on meta. Happy it's doing more damage. Sounding maybe like Fel-Scarred for M+ and Aldrachi for raid?

With that big of a prio target difference, I think it's completely unlikely Fel-Scarred will be competitive in any content, unless AOE difference is completely out of charts. I hope at least they revisit it and we play it in season2

I actually really like Felscarred out of demon form talents they prevent DF season 2 issue when Havoc was the most punishing by far for missing a single GCD per minute, because you lost meta uptime. I think they did really smart there and can tune the level of "punishment" for being out of meta reducing frustrations of being targeted by a mechanic etc. So I would defend the designers and argue against the "The whole hero talent is about being in demon form" so why have these talents!

the thing is those talents dont DO anything, you cant feel them at all, theyre anti synergistic, and we already do no damage outside of meta. They dont really do anything the way you've described, especially when the tree itself is playing inertia/essb and not even the SD/cycle talents so were not even in an area to be punished that much by that. I just find them super boring

@@VooDooSaurus I understand that they are "just" passively increase your damage floor, but I don't think they would need to DO anything active. I think the more power we put on Demon Surge the more we are incentivesed to play SD/Cycle build and that might be the intention for the hero talents. Again only my naive opinion but tuning can solve 90% of the problems we have, reduce chaos strike damage for AR untill it is worth pressing throw glaive and blade dance and increase Demon Surge damage untill the two hero talents are within 3% dps from each other. If they could put the soul collecting mechanism for AR to throw glaive instead of fellblade that would be a cherry on top! :)

Sure but the appeal of Fel Scarred is that you don’t have to play that boring glaive/mover build. The point of fel scarred is to get the big eye beams and chaos strikes while you post up, like we had in BfA A lot of people don’t like glaive/mover. So Fel Scarred being less damage doesn’t matter

@@OldManDoom Fel scarfed being 40% less damage *does* matter, saying it doesn’t when it’s so astronomically behind is silly. It’s also very funny you call the glaive/mover build boring since it’s the more involved playstyle. Both play styles are very close in fel scarred, which is great for people who like either build, but fel scarred itself is multiple tiers of dps behind Aldrachi, which also has balance between no mover/mover, but it’s just much worse to play

the hero Talents for dh are so boring compared to pally, Dk and a few of the other classes tbh. I was a havoc main since Legion, but swapped to Ret in 10.1. Havoc has just gotten to boring to play.
