I thought they would’ve at least had grace and Charlie make an appearance and possibly Mary. But I guess they didn’t have enough time in the episode. I do feel kind of lied to by CBS cause they said the finale would be an hour long - and I would’ve assumed it would’ve been the full hour without adverts. But it was only 44 minutes :/
Peter Lenkov said he would love to bring them back as well as Kamekona or Duke but that there wasn't time for it. CBS told them quite late that the show will be canceled. And he said that Kono and Chin would deserve more time then to appear just for a few minutes.
Hawaii Five-O had ten great seasons. CBS didn't cancel the show, they left on their terms. That's the best way to do it. Leave on your own terms. The reboot has done the original justice and then some.
Well this was a good finale but the problem for me is that I was really attached to the rest of the main cast like Chin Kono Kamekona Duke and Max and the fact that they cancelled the show just prior to this episode which why these characters did not appear. It just doesn’t feel right. I know the director said these two deserved more screen time but even a couple of minutes in this emotional goodbye would have done the job to satisfy both the new and old fans of the show
@@semoneg2826 Yeah but they were going to have him back in the next season finale and the network decided that they would cancel the show just before the last episode and they had no time to include anyone
The reason this scene hits exceptionally hard is partly because the cast was told 2 hours prior, that this was the final epiosde. Gutted by Chi McBride's reaction. So genuine
Steve and Junior giving each othat look, they knew it was going to be an emotional hug and goodbye. Those two hugging one another was like a big brother saying goodbye to a younger brother. To me that put a lump in my throat
Who remember's this from the 1st episode. Commander McGarrett you have an incoming call from the Governor of Hawaii. Oh I cried when Lou balled his eyes out 😭😭
when adam said he’ll never forget what steve did for him i lost it, like adams never been one of my favorites but that moment was so special. when we first met adam he was basically running the yakuza and to see where he is today BECAUSE of steve is just beautiful 🥺
Grover and Junior goodbyes to Steve really got me along with his Aloha Wau Ia oe at the end. I have loved this show from the beginning and will miss it
As a Mcdanno fan I have to say that I don't like the ending 😭😭😭. Its nice that Steve got Catherine.. But It started with McDanno it should've ended with them 💔
I completely agree with you. I'm crying and now that I think about it if they had made mcdanno saying goodbye to each other I probably would have cried my soul out.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭I LOVE THEM SO SO MUCH
@@toyoscio in my country they haven't released the season yet so I don't know anything about a text. But I'm glad nobody died. Because if they had killed someone I would have killed myself
It bugged me that Danny was so injured like that and there was zero mention of either of his kids. And then with the goodbyes, I didn't like how it went from those who have been with him the longest to the newbies. And how it looked like Junior's goodbye with Steve was felt the most by Steve. Danny's goodbye should have been the final one. And with Wo Fat's wife making it sound as though Doris had actually cheated on her husband and produced Wo Fat, even though we know that didn't happen ... why would they even do that? I agree w/others who have said that this seemed like a rushed ending. I mean, I'm willing to bet that Alex didn't come to them w/3 episodes left to do and announce his decisions. I'll always love the show no matter what. But I guess the ending will always feel like something was missing. Almost like they left a case unsolved.
I totally agree with you. This was a rushed ending with no proper goodbyes and left me very unsatisfied. This show after 10 years deserved something better. Way better.
Poor Eddie, The second person in his life that he lost Please CBS give us more season We fans are suffering and sad and emotional and don't accept lost our favorite ohana. 😂😂😂😂😂
I just finished watching the finale. I only discovered the show about a year ago and since then it's been 10 seasons of pure awesomeness. This wasn't like the usual cop crime fighting drama. This was much beyond that. Each and every character whether the veterans or the newbies have gone through some phenomenal character developments. The story lines, the emotions made me feel like a part of the ohana. Man I cheered when there was action (especially when McGarrett was involved), I laughed through their humour and I have cried when they've cried. Like I said felt I like I was living it with them. That's the beauty of the show. It kept me hooked all the way. Yeah the finale could've been better especially the last goodbyes. It seemed too rush. Then again I have gotten used to good shows having bad finales hahaha. They could've brought back the OG crew Chin Ho, Kono, Max, Jerry etc and could've ended it on a high note. I know DDK and Grace didn't leave on good terms but could have certainly made an appearance for old times sake!!! I like that they've kept it open ended for a spin off or a big movie. Of course no fun without McGarrett. Hope I see them all back in some way!!!
Definitely can get into it a very interesting show i starting watching it last almost a year ago recently bought the complete series on DVD my favorite show by far hate that went off the air
I agree that is always going to be a standing out factor, hawaii five-0 was so SO different from other crime shows, it was so much more personal, every character had their own stories. Every character had bonding time with every other character, I have always appreciated the writers of this show because after watching ncis, ncis los Angeles and criminal minds, I can say that Hawaii five-0 was absolutely the best and I'm so glad that I started watching it. I feel terrible that this show has ended with only 10 seasons, it had potential for so much more. It's also sad that this show isn't nearly as popular as it should be, it is massively underappreciated. I really hope it makes a comeback
I am crying very very much. I don't prepared for to see the finish The great and Best show hawaii-five 0. The friendship and love between Steve and his team is very emotional.
Never be afraid to show your emotions in anything like this it just means that you have a big heart My Mum and I were very emotional at the end of this loving FIVE-0 now and forever
The most unfortunate thing is that they didn't have enough time to end the show more naturally! There are clear signs that they had plans for another season, instead they essentially just chose to abruptly end.
Add a bust of Alex across from Jack Lord’s. He did the role of McGarret justice. I will truly, truly miss this show. My scotch Fridays will not be the same. Aloha!
I don’t know if anyone else watches this too but this scene reminds me of “The Spies Goodbye” scene from Marvel’s Agents of Shield, that scene makes me cry every time I see it. Because the truth is they really weren’t acting in that scene I feel like it was the same for this scene as well. Also the new guys has now played 2 characters in the same universe.
unforgettable final for a awesome series, so sentimental, but is sure that someday Steve will be back to the island, where his team, his family always will be waiting for him, but not is a goodbye is a new beginnings for them, !ALOHA TEAM¡.
I live in the uk so behind I'm shocked to just find out this show is ending heartbreaking was weird after chin and kono left but still loved the show dano and Steve the bond the jokes will be missed sad times
10 years and this rushed ending is what we get? I am so saddened that they decided that steve leaving with catherine of all people was a good ending. MCDANNO made this show and they just killed me with this ending ... they shouldve quit after season 9 cause this was painful af!
Blame Alex. He wanted to leave the show to get on with his life. They had full intentions to do 12 or 13 seasons. They had full intentions with a proper way to end the show. Regardless, Alex didn't want to do it anymore - you can't have the show without the leader of Five-0. It doesn't make any sense. So once he quit, the show was officially dead in the water. Plus at that time, Scott was also becoming bored of the show. Remember how Danny was in every few episodes or so? Yeah, that's because he kept going back home to take care/be with his family. They felt as if he was going to quit sooner or later. Plus Scott after 8ish years started to absolutely LOATH Hawaii. So him quitting was right around the corner. They had every intention on ending this show in 2022/23. But the two lead characters wanted out. Not to mention, Kono and Chin quit - along with Jerry and Max. All the cast was leaving. They didn't want to have the show where all the leads were gone, and comprised of new characters. That's why it was ended so abruptly. All of the actors/actresses wanted to move on with their lives/were pissed that they weren't getting paid nearly as much as their coworkers. But primarily, blame Alex. Without Steve, there is no Five-0. I however, believe they should do a spinoff of the San Francisco Five-0 for a season or two with Chin and Kono being the leads. The dust will have settled between them all with the whole money issue. And potentially bring Steve, Danny, Max, Grover, and Jerry back for a season or two. Then give it a proper ending with all of them going to Hawaii for vacation or something - I don't know. But that's just my two cents and opinion. Will it happen? Nope. But it'd be a nice way to end it if you ask me. Not to mention, Steve would probably say no. He has an actual life in Hawaii with his wife and 3 kids; and I'm pretty sure he retired from acting. Scott - he doesn't do much acting anymore. So like I said, it's nice to think about. But sadly, probably highly unrealistic.
Teared up during this scene & Eddy's little whimper got to me. From the H50 You Tube page it sounds like they might have some kind of TV movie or mini series planned. That being said while I'll miss the show I feel it had run it's course & it just wasn't the same without Kono & Chin.
It took for me a bit more, than 3 weeks, to watch everything from the very beginning. So for me it's ending too early! 😢 I'm going to miss them all really really much!
Alex, you need to take a rest for awhile allow your back.pain to heal...after that please get back to the next season of Hawaii five o....to be continued🙏
ive cried in this episode when Steve says goodbye to the cast that brakes my Heart i think Steve is happy that Catherine is back for him and they end up tougher again
I didn’t want it to end but I know why it had to. Doesn’t make it any easier though. I’ll miss this amazing show with new episodes and the great cast moments that came with it. I hope that some years down the line, they might get together for a reunion season or even just a panel at paleyfest to talk about the good times ♥️♥️
Great show .I only bummed that they should've had d the original four .Mcarrett, Danno,Chin,Kono say they're goodbyes THEN ride off into the sunset with Catherine the love of his life
The First Of The Original Version From Hawaii Five O (1968-1980) On CBS The TV Show Has Been Cancelled After The Season 12 And Now... The Second Of The Reboot Version From Hawaii Five-0 (2010-2020) Which Also On CBS Now The TV Show Is Cancelled After The Season 10
El mejor show !
I don’t think I’ve cried a lot with TV-shows, but Lucifer 5x15, New Amsterdam (well, almost all of em) and this one had me crying real good. Especially in this scene… Please tell me we’ll get a spin-off with the rest of the cast in maybe a year or two, cause I don’t wanna live without these characters and this task-force!
I wished it was a happy ending. It had ten great seasons! I would’ve taken a cliche ending than this, like for example, steve could’ve gotten married to catherine, Dano could’ve dropped off grace to university, tani and junior are now in charge of the task force with adam and the new black dude. But this was depressing. Everyone was in a sad note.
First why you stop holding my hand.😊 Loved those two. It would have been nice if they had at least mentioned the kids though. Danny got hurt and no word from or about them. I want more maybe they will have another spin off where Danny is in charge. Hopefully they will keep most of the old crew. Cole might even be a part of it. He's so sexy😊. Ahola HO5😭😭😭
Word has it that when Alex announced that he was leaving, they approached Scott and told him the idea of giving him a new partner and he allegedly told them absolutely not. I don't know how 100% accurate that is, but it's just what I've heard from a few.
I heard a sad theory about why Danny would never become the head of 5-0 and why Steve asked Lincoln to get the charge and left so abruptly... and it's because actually Danny never make it out of surgery! I won't tell you the points of this theory in case you love the character of Danny as much as I do and I don't want you to go through it. I just hope this is a REALLY bad joke of a sort of Danny or Mcdanno hater, because if it's true, I don't answe for my actions! 😭🤬
Do you really think in the future? Hawaii five O Will return with the rebooted new season. Since after Steve mcgarrett left the team But here's the question who's gonna leader the five 0 team?????????? Is this man 2:35 ??????????????????
