Thank you for this video on how to assemble the Hawaiian Breeze fan. I purchased the new fan in a damaged box. No directions. It looked as though it didn't have all the pieces. Truly grateful I found your video. All the parts were there. You made assembling it "a breeze". Thanks!
I have had a Hawaiian Breeze fan for 9 years. It is white. It still works but the grill fell off the thing cause the thing that holds it fell apart so I had to get another fan today. But I was very pleased with it. I currently have it in my closet incase my new fan breaks or we need it for the living room or something.
Lol, I have the same fan and that adjustment knob on mine is stuck and now I can't loosen it to lower it. I'm wondering if I can order replacement parts from the manufacturer as I doubt I'll be able to loosen it now without breaking it. My fan also began rusting so I'm now in the process of treating it with Krud Kutter rust remover and painting it with RustOleum antique bronze colored paint. Other than that, I love the fan and it's paid for itself many times over so I'm happy I bought it.
Tami Dunn I tried Googling the company, but it appears they don't have a website. I took the fan & motor completely apart today. I cleaned the motor & re-greased the gears with Super Lube synthetic grease. After that I wrapped the lower section of the adjustment post with a rag and put it in a vise. I was able to adjust it to the level I wanted by twisting the posts in opposite directions using a screwdriver on the upper post (through the bolt hole where the bolt goes to hold the motor to the post). I still won't be able to adjust it up or down after it's back together, but it's at the level I want it at now and I don't usually need to adjust the height anyway. As long as I'm still able to adjust the top of the fan I'm good. I got the majority of the rust off it with the Krud Kutter and it looks almost new again. The Krud Kutter has rust inhibitors in it to help prevent it from re-rusting for up to twelve months. Even so, I know it will rust again if I dont coat the metal with something so I'm thinking instead of sanding and painting it, I'll just leave it how it is and spray it with a couple coats of urethane spray which will give it a protective gloss coating and seal it so it won't re-rust.
