This must be delicious, I don't really like desicated coconut, but I love coconut milk, it is so creamy and the taste is so delicate. I would skip the cream on top, I prefer to pour some unwipped cream on when it is served. Thanks for such a lovely recipe.
Hey Chef, I made this pie with my 4 year old and it was amazing. she typically doesnt like coconut but she ate this pie and said it was delicious! easy to make and very good. thanks chef :)
Jason been a fan of your videos for years and never let me down on what you make. Anything with whip cream is a must have hahaha and this looks good. Awesome video Jason.
Hi Chef. I just made this chocolate haupia pie and your recipe is amazing, it came out as good as the one that I had I Maui Lahaina. You made it so easy to follow and came out very successful. It is a keeper recipe.. Thank you so much again. ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Looks ridiculously good. And such good timing, just yesterday I was wondering when you were going to make a new video, so I started watching a lot of your old videos. Keep up the good work and keep the noms coming!
This looks delicious! Hey, any good reason to not put the white coconut layer on the bottom, the dark chocolate layer in the middle, and the white whipped cream layer on top, so you have three distinct layers to look at when you slice it?
Great video my friend! And thanks for the inspiration, I am about to head on a 3 week trip around WA OR and CA which I am trying to figure out how to video. I really love how you combined cooking and vacation! nice quick recipe with great tips! Great decorating job wife! as shy as mine...??? hehehe
Thanks for the great and clear to understand videos and for really understanding how to produce those videos in the way we viewers need it to be easy for us to be used by putting the recipes under each video, which saves us time to run through the videos again and again just to copy the recipes. This makes your videos so much more attractive and useful then the other top chefs and bring your site to the very top! Tip: next step will be to makes the recipes available in Printed Form...
@sivasainath2005 This is a cold pie, so the filling goes into a pre-baked crust. I'll send the pie crust recipe shortly. Still need to post that video!
Please answer this if you see it? After we put in the chocolate and coconut mixture, do we have to add in an additional pie crust over the coconut or do we just chill it and then put whipped cream on?
we were just there at Ted's and had one of these and thought it was amazing. So my daughter wanted one for her birthday, I at first thought it would be too complicated, but I was amazed at how easy it was. One question though: do you use heavy cream for the whipped cream?
At first I thought you were going to put little cream dot-flowers only once around the pie but wow you decorated the pie beautifully! I am going to make this, but a minier version so I can actually finish it all. :D
My college used to have a good chocolate pie that looked like this, but I am sure it's nowhere near as yours or that one in Oahu haha! This looks very doable.
and should the pie be baked or not .. i see some videos were people bake the pie after filling it wit apple mix ... and how about crust should i bake it or not ... plz reply ... tnx
I just watched this video and have got to make this pie. You don't mention what kind of chocolate to purchase. Is this the unsweeten or sweetened Baker's chocolate? Thanks, Susan
