Was that final size piece from just one piece of bark you had collected or was it sewn together from a few strips? Im going to give this a go because we have a mulberry tree in our yard. Lots of branches.
The fruiting mulberry tree branches might be harder to work because that inner skin is thinner, but I know folks have tried. We make the pieces bigger/wider from fermenting the bark and then beating pieces into each other, like felting together. Good luck!
