I've been a Chicago Police Officer for 27 years and I was becoming a huge fan of The Smith Brothers videos. The surfing and traveling videos were awesome and I was telling all of my friends to watch your videos. I was huge fan of Koa's when he was competing in the Ultimate Surfer (man I really wanted him to win). I downloaded and was also doing his workout videos. Then I saw this video showing you guys going to a George Floyd memorial. The worst part of the video for me was hearing you repeat misinformation about "police brutality" being a national problem. First and foremost I believe that what happened to George Floyd was horrible and despicable on the part of the police officer and he is now paying for his crime. I'm sure you guys already knew that Floyd was a career criminal but instead of jumping on the bandwagon and following other people like sheep, which is completely the opposite of what and who you guys are, I wish you would've done a little research before standing up for a man that is definitely not a martyr. I wish you would have looked up the research done by Professor Donald G. Fryer of Harvard University. Professor Fryer is a black man who did the research and discovered that "police brutality" to minorities is a myth. Professor Fryer discovered that although the police have more contact with minorities they are less likely to be shot and killed by a police officer (look it up). I just hope that before you guys make political statements in the future that you would research the topic before spreading the main-stream media misinformation. What a beautiful thing it made me cry 😢 to donate all the money from this video to black lives matter is a beautiful thing. I have a mixed race daughter whose dad is black, I fear for the world right now I truly hope the racist people can overcome there feelings and bring love into there hearts instead of hate.
