Ran across Matt posting on some forums many years ago. Very knowledgeable and I found as I continued to gain experience with polishing my experience matched what Matt would share.

Thankyou everyone for the very positive comments, I truly appreciate it, I'm always available to teach or provide advice to those who seek to become a true gloss guru and safely deal with modern thin paints. Medium to long term filler based products are the future for most cars I believe, Ive used a medium term filler (6 months) for twenty years. Just did my black Toyota 86 with it to remove no paint but deep clean and gloss up that paint and protect it

Okay one thing I forgot to say in the video about what I wish would be taught to new detailers. Don't always go straight to a compound to remove paint defects. Try a swirl removal polish or all in one polish with a light or medium foam pad, wool or microfibre pad. Sometimes it's all you need and will deliver a better finish. Some compounds do finish very well now but never go straight to a conpound every time you want to remove swirls and scratches and especially lighter wash marring. The pad has more impact on the results than the liquid. Case in point - deburred wool and jewelling polish on any tool. It's a safe progressive cut on painted plastic bumpers and side skirts etc but finishes better than compound and wool does. It's even capable of removing dry spray on those bumpers in a small area. Dynabrade 14mm orbit air polisher at high opm did that, you can see it in this very video in the slides on that blue front lip spoiler corner piece, that's just wool and jewelling polish no sanding no foam pad polishing. the very runny highly lubricated polish keeps the wool fibres moist not clumped up and dried out like drier pastier compounds and thus the abrasives can keep working. One reason wool didn't finish well for a long time was the bad compounds and the barbs or burrs in the wool pads.

A friend of mine and I always think that polishing with a low orbit DA gives a much better shine than a higher orbit one. Be interesting to hear Mathew’s opinion on it.

I was excited about finding DIY Detail Rinseless Wash finally with free shipping at Walmart and I posted sharing how happy I was over at your other channel DIYDetailing - and now my comment is gone- was my comment really deleted? The only thing I can think of is you don’t want anyone promoting anything but your store directly. I am a fan and have been begun promoting your products in many places I have a lot of followers and credibility.
