@@JBWinter We're talking vintage wine bottles that were likely hand blown and far thicker than your 'off the shelf' bottles. Someone did a science vid on it some time ago (I'd link if I could remember but it's been too long). Those kinds of bottles are more likely to fracture your skull before they'd break, and even less so if they are full and sealed as the OP mentioned. This may be the rare case where they got the physics more 'true to life' in this scenario.
If Kate actually hit them hard enough to break the wine bottles, they'd all be dead! So many reactors have questioned why the bottles didn't break... all fooled by Hollywood physics! Lol.
I'll never get over the fact that we've got one of the more famous Polish actors (Piotr Adamczyk) as one of the Tracksuit Bros. He's the one with headphones who found the watch in episode 1, kissed and threw the Molotov in ep. 2, and later was like "We kidnapped you! I'm interrogating you!"
There is a military term called Hammer And Scalpel, meaning the meaning the difference between large blunt weapons or soldiers and surgically precise weapons or soldiers, and Hawkeye is one of the sharpest scalpels in all of comics. For almost 10 years SOOOO many MCU fans never gave Hawkeye the respect he deserves. They thought of him as “just and archery guy,” (which by that logic makes Iron Man “just a gadget guy”). Then he absolutely cuts lose when he became Ronin in Endgame and all the haters finally see that he is up there with The Punisher as one of the deadliest and most badass men in all of Marvel.
I've always been saddened by Hawkeye's relative lack of love. I've always loved archer superheroes, and Hawkeye has been one of my favorite Avengers since he first showed up in an MCU movie. I'm so glad he's finally getting some serious love, and a chance to pass on the torch to another badass archer in Kate in hopefully a respectful and careful way.
@@visionentertainment8006 Both are technology. Both are used to maim and kill. In the hands of their owners (Tony or Clint), both are extremely effective at doing so. So... yeah. Obviously the Iron Man suit is fancier, but fancy doesn't get the job done any better :)
In the comics what makes Clint Barton so useful to SHIELD (and The Avengers) is that his retina has an amazing density of rod cells that allow him to see things that other people overlook.
@@IceMetalPunk, keep in mind that you are talking about the people at Marvel Comics who had a bite by a radioactive spider give a teenager "spider powers" and had "mutation" giving people the power to shoot lasers from their eyes or turn into snowmen.
It's really interesting to see how they're changing things to fit in with the MCU version Clint as he's so very different, but those things still having the same impact. Clint has been deaf a couple times in the comics but many authors just kind of forget about it (he originally lost his hearing setting off a sonic arrow next to his ear to stop himself from being mind-controlled - he is healed after he dies and gets revived but is then later stabbed in the ears with his own arrows) so it's nice to see them bring it around in some capacity in the MCU. Also the character of Grills was very different but served the same purpose of encouraging Clint to open up a bit and enjoy things, lead to some great moments. Really excited to see how they handle Echo as well (the character we see at the end of Episode 2). People like to slag on Hawkeye's involvement in things but everyone forgets the impact he's had on Wanda in both Age of Ultron and Civil War (the speech he gives her in AoU is even the scene that convinced Kevin Feige that they needed to do a Hawkeye project - note how this is the only one so far that's listed in the credits as "A Kevin Feige Production" instead of "A Marvel Studios Production"). Kate was spot-on when she said that Clint "sells inspiration." If it wasn't for him, Wanda might not have realized her full potential (though YMMV on if that's a good thing or a bad thing currently lol).
The girl at the end is named Echo, she is a deaf Native American who can "echo" any opponents moves or abilities. She's badass. And YES, Yelana will be in this show, but only very VERY briefly. Echo and The Clown (the guy on the phone that says Clint Barton couldn't take the call, and the guy that showed his face after the auction when Kate was saving Pizza Dog) will be the two main antagonists in this show. Along with the Track Suit Mafia, bro.
“Where’s her parents?” I’m calling it now that Kate’s mom used the Chitauri invasion as a coverup to kill Kate’s dad. They even both mention they would be going downstairs right before shit hit the fan. Their financial problems didn’t just disappear, they actually got richer. She’ll probably take her husband’s comic book role. Eleanor has looked like a villain from the start tbh, especially with that red dress.
It's interesting that Hawkeye referred to it as a "ninja suit" like his kids did and not the Ronin suit or his suit, (though I get why he actively avoids that one)
I am 90% convinced that the Evil Stepdad thing is a red herring. I think his weird actions are merely him being an oblivious rich tryhard who's being too earnest with his attempts to gain Kate's affections. I think he was telling the truth about reading the stepdad self-help books, and I think he was letting her win at fencing because the book said to let the kids win at games (probably assuming the kids are very young). I'm about 50% sure that her dad is alive and about 70% sure her mom is involved with the bad guys (and 20% that her dad is too, 70% if it turns out he's alive).
I think he killed Armand with the Ronin sword so Ronin could take the blame, especially since he was seen that night for the first time in a while. Also, the way he parry'd her without even looking tells me he has skills that he's hiding. I don't think he's a red herring.
@@MontgomeryWenis Scarlet Witch is a villain and so was Hawkeye, that someone's a villain from the comics doesn't necessarily mean he's a villain in the MCU. That said, if he is a villain, then it's actually terrible writing.
They are not breaking because they are champagne bottles that are constructed to contain effervecing wine before you pop the cork that flies all around the room.
Hope y'all had a glorious Thanksgiving weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Cavazos! I can absolutely relate to the anticipation for Yelena's appearance, but the lady in the dark red room (see what I did there?) towards the end of episode 2 is Maya López, A.K.A. Echo (portrayed by Alacqua Cox). She is an antagonist with close ties to none other than Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. So yeah, just like Matt Murdock's possible cameo in Spiderman: No Way Home, we got another Daredevil teaser here.
That's Echo! The actress is Alqua Cox! She's a deaf person making her the second deaf mcu character or superhero next to Lauren Ridloff (Makkari from Eternals) girls are killing it!
Clint's family dynamic exists because Joss Whedon fought for it. The studio thought giving Clint a family in Age of Ultron was a pointless detour that slowed the movie. But meetng the family (and Hawkeye's interplay with Wanda later in Ultron) really made the character.
@@Persephone_Personified this isn't defending him. he's an asshole but a mostly very good writer. The two things can exist at the same time and both be true. Matt Fraction talked about how he liked what Whedon did with Hawkeye in AoU.
Going back after finishing the show, it's hilarious that Jack acts so strange and clueless that it's suspicious, but it just turns out he is just a strange but nice guy. Lol
the girl at the end is ECHO, she’s the goddaughter of Wilson Fisk, aka kingpin. His character from the netflix Daredevil series is rumored to appear on this series too
the girl at the end is a deaf anti hero connected to Kingpin and Daredevil ( hopefully you've seen lol) the music for that last scene " Christmas Island " by Depeche mode- this is loosely based on the matt fraction run from the comics
A lot of the people you've seen so far in the show are from the Hawkeye comic series by Matt fraction which this show is based on. They even brought in the writer as a producer. Most MCU fans are the ones who never gave Clint his due.the comic fans always knew the badass Clint is. Clint was the avengers leader at one point. And leader of the thunderbolts. The woman at the end is well known in the comics also. They even announced she's getting her own series on Disney plus.
Fraction is a consulting producer which is a bit different. He was sent scripts and offered notes and that was the extent of his involvement. he didn't even know if his notes were used.
@@vincentvalentin5412 he still gets producer credits. Jeez! The characters you see in the show from the tracksuits, the larpers, pizza dog, vaz,the concepts ,the interactions between kate and Clint and other things including the art are taken straight from the book he wrote! So it isn't a small inconsequential role he has in this.
Wine bottles are extremely thick. They don't break easily. You're confused because Hollywood bottles are usually made of sugar glass that's intended to break. But where'd you get the name Jackson from? His name is just Jack, changed from Jacques in the comics.
To be fair glass bottles for break over people's heads, but liquor bottles are WAY thicker than a standard beer bottle. I've seen a couple beer bottles smashed over people's heads and I watched a liquor bottle clunk off someone's head just like in that scene lol. I used to go to some pretty wild parties with some pretty wild people
My first thought is that Kate’s father; Derek Bishop is still alive as we never see his death onscreen nor his dead body. The Bishops were facing financial difficulties at the start of this Pilot Episode and might need to sell their penthouse in order to keep afloat. During the 2012 Chitauri invasion, Derek faked his own death so that his wife would then claimed his life insurance money. The online rumor is that Eleanor Bishop is the Marvel comics version of Madame Masque. Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin shall appear by the end of this Season 1 as Echo’s adopted father @ Uncle. The wristwatch that the Tracksuit Mafia were searching for originally belonged to the late Anthony Edward Stark. Just like the blue-tinted glasses which Tony wore during “Avengers: Infinity War” nicknamed EDITH. It was later inherited by Peter Parker in “Spider-Man: Far From Home”. EDITH was able to command hundreds of Stark Industries drones and satellites. The timepiece was lost under the Avengers Compound rubble when Thanos’ Army bombed it toward the end of “Avengers: Endgame” and possibly contained Iron Man technology. Jack did not seemed surprised at all when the Tracksuit Mafia raided the underground auction. Like he knew it was going to happen. In fact, he took the opportunity to pocket the much coveted Ronin retractable sword during the commotion. Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova shall appear in the second half of this Season 1. As per “Black Widow” post-credit scene, she is assigned by her handler: Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine @ Val to exact revenge for Natasha Romanoff’s death. Yelena is handed a tablet showing an image of Clinton Francis Barton in his full Ronin gear without his mask. It means that Yelena and Val are aware that Hawkeye and Ronin is actually the same person. Whereas in Episode 1, the black market auctioneer made it obvious that the general public is not aware of this. Yelena is being manipulated to assassinate Clint as details of what transpired on Vormir is only known to the Avengers. Maya Lopez @ Echo played by Alaqua Cox will be getting her own spinoff show after this.
Just some info for you guys that might help in understanding so far... 1. Lucky the Pizza Dog 2. Jack Duquesne (The Swordsman) 3. Eleanor Bishop (Kate's Mom) = Villain? 4. The deaf chick at the end of second episode (NOT Yelena, BUT has comic ties to the Kingpin)
5:30 In end game movie, kids dont want scott's sign and take picture with him because they dont know antman, but now marvel put antman character in a musical show. It seems antman finally became one of the most popular in their universe🤣
I think Jack send Kate a message with that butterscotch: "I know what you know." and in reality it's her Mom we need to worry about. Also: We never saw her Dad actually die on screen and her Mom took an unusually long time to get to her.
Her dad told her he was going to his study. The one with the. blown out window! Mom said she'll be right beck because she going downstairs. They are in a penthouse. Also expensive wine bottles can be very hard
"They wouldnt kill a dog, this is disney" - Bambi mom = DEAD - Mufasa (Lion king) = DEAD - Hector (Coco) = DEAD - Nemo's mom = DEAD - Kerchak (Tarzan's ape mom) = DEAD - Tadashi (Big hero 6) = DEAD - Ray (Frog and the princess) = DEAD - Bing bong (Inside Out) = DEAD - Ellie (Up) = DEAD IDK man, if the comics wouldnt say that Lucky is alive probably Disney would kill him in the series too
You guys totally missed the major villains in this show. FYI, the Step Dad Jack, is actually Jacques Duquesne, The Swordsman!! The girl at the end is called Echo, she's deaf but has the ability to use soundwaves like a sonar. She's kinda like a reverse Daredevil. Oh and in the comics, Echo is the adapted daughter of the Kingpin!!
"... has the ability to use soundwaves like a sonar. " I mean... I don't know if maybe she had that ability at one point, but it's certainly not an ability she's had most of her continuity, and not at all what she's known for. Her abilities are usually similar to Taskmaster's: photographic reflexes, the ability to perfectly copy anything she sees someone do just once, including fighting styles, etc.
@@spccolts Because she's deaf and was putting her hand up to feel the vibrations since she can't hear it, and louder means she can feel the vibrations better.... Her name is Echo because she can echo people's actions (and as a bit of a nod to sound because she's deaf).
Hawkeye has Powers, he's unable to Miss. it is physically Impossible for Hawkeye to miss a target, Bow and Arrows aren't the full extent, they're just a preference, he can also do the same with Guns or Any other weapon he wants.
Thanks for your reaction. Saw these 2 episodes few days ago, I like a lot. Hailee and Jeremy , are very good actors. Clint it's not too happy about saw the musical. Pizza dog it's cute.
4:57 Disney release the full song that was featured in this scene entitled "Save The City" source: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e3R9DOrpUDE.html Also, fun fact about Echo, the woman at the end of episode 2...in the comics she was first person to wear the Ronin costume
I love that the filmed this in New york I miss it lol hope to visit again soon. Loved your reaction to this you guys are my favoritess (: never LARPD before but I like RP games I may try it one day looks fun
not really "Alien Insurance " Stark Industries funds a division known as "Damage Control" which is a group of people who Fix and Remove anything damaged after The Avengers do battle.
If she's taking over for hawkeye, well... She's good with the bow and knows martial arts, but... Like Hawkeye was good with the bow, but he was also a secret agent with a shit ton of experience working for the government. If any slightly capable fighter can become an avenger, then wtf and how? She needs a bit more than bow skills to become a believable asset in an emergency. Don't know much about the character, so maybe she'll evolve later.
wait how the fuck dont nobody know who ronin is but val at the end of black widow knows and gave the info to yelena...... somebody got super secret intel..... could be thunderbolt ross
I have a feeling Val is gonna end up working for Thunderbolt Ross and not be Madame Hydra. She was only Madam Hydra for such a short time in the comics and was secretly working against them for a group called Leviathan. She was a SHIELD agent for most of her time in the comics and if I remember correctly she and Nick Fury were lovers.
I'm suspicious of the mum, she went downstairs in 2012 witch is we're the dads study is and then he's dead. I think that jack is suspicious of kate for the murder as he recognised her at the auction. We're as Kate is suspicious of him. But I think the mum did it
Did that fire fighter really go into someone's burnt out apartment and steal the only one of some poor person's possessions to survive the flames?? That guy is kind of an ass
"The bottle didn't even break? She's not trying to make it break?" um... no, they just trying to be realistic. In real life bottles don't break so easily on someones head. You just got used to seeing sugar glass bottles in movies.
I don't remember if you reacted to Netflix daredevil series if you haven't you should its awesome, but rumors are daredevil with the same actor might appear in hawkeye, also the actor that played Wilson/kingpin has been hitting being part of this series as well. The tracksuit mafia and the girl at the end are connected to Wilson fisk in the comic so if the rumors are true then every Netflix daredevil fan like myself are going to go crazy
