It was so awesome to have the Mink Man helping me out today! Many rabbits were flushed but my hawk caught this jack rabbit on his 12th try.

This video had to be censored for fear of it getting flagged. if you wish to watch the uncensored video you can find it on my Facebook page.

The handler/bird relationship is pretty cool to watch.

Congrats. Awesome video! Beautiful landscape. It is neat to see a bird hunt from a t-perch, we don’t use them out here on the east coast.

It’s so amazing how intelligent these beautiful birds are. It would be so awesome if you guys could link up with South West Wildlife Foundation of Utah, he is so knowledgeable with a passion for these majestic creatures that’s hard to put into words.

All but the censoring of the kill! Would have loved to see the eagle do what it naturally does in the wild

To be accurate, hawking is austringering, while all the rest of falcons (kestrels up to gyrfalcons and peregrines) is falconry.

Why did you leash him at the end?
@TheReptileProject
@TheReptileProject 4 года назад
DougOSRS so that he wouldn’t fly off and land in a tree to digest his food and he may not want to come back. He isn’t quite ready to be released so when I can control him for his safety I do.

@@TheReptileProject are all hawks like this? They leave their owners after a meal? Even after many years of training?
