Just discovered this song tonight, fantastic song. Bummed it's not on Spotify, but glad it's here. There's a demo version and it's good but not like this version.
Nostalgic Music... the kind that opens up old wounds and healed wounds Good times and memories of a care free youth... Growing up too fast and wishing this world would get a grip and everyone would look after each other!! 90’s music was awesome and i wish i’d appreciated it more now. Most music today sucks so bad... Hurry up and invent the time machine!! Bring back this music and these cool videos!! Amen
We were lucky enough to have been there. Things are always changing, but we were unfortunate for things to change much more quickly than previous generations. Now everything's a mess but we can always come back here to Trees Lounge for a moment and relax.
The live version might be on Streaming. But Hayden doesn't own the rights to this version as it was written for a movie soundtrack. Hopefully the soundtrack will show up on streaming one day..
Not sure how I missed this movie through the years but just got done watching it for the first time. Love love loved it and this song in the end credits was like the icing on the cake.
Loved this film. It came out at a time when my life was very much like Tommy's. Felt a kinship with the characters and loved the song. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
I need to meet people that like this movie (and Hayden, for that matter) the same way that I do, and not because I encouraged them or showed them how I like it. How can we make this movie more popular so that this can happen?
@@unrealnews Hi there! Movies like this will never be popular because it encourages viewers to look in the mirror. lot of people just want distractions. The time period this came out in was a very special time for me and I'm glad you have love for it as well.
ive seen hayden twice in edmonton. loved him since'95! i hope he keeps putting out great music forever!!if you like this song , try out the soundtrack to this movie. it is pretty awesome!!
Everything I long for is such a good album. I got to see Hayden in Vancouver in 95 at a very intimate show. Everyone was sitting and enjoying the lovely music. Hayden Dresser is amazing, too bad he didn't get the proper recognition he deserves!!!
still one of my favorite Hayden songs...held onto this VHS copy of Trees Lounge for years because the DVD didn't have the music video on it originally!
Yo this is it! They only have the 20th anniversary edition of this song on spotify unfortunately. This is the exact version that closes out the movie immediately after the credits roll. I just watched it for the first time and that’s how I found this song actually. Love this song and loved the movie. Steve Buscemi is something else and Chloe Sevigny is stunning.
Love This. I bought the soundtrack off of ebay a number of years back just cause of this--couple of great tracks on it---absolutely love the cover of Mudslide on it--and the Pogues song on it is pretty great too. Movie is amazing of course--i saw it in theaters in 9th grade---long before even being familiar with the taste of alcohol---but i loved this movie even then. I got the honor of meeting both Buscemi and Seymour Cassel a couple years back and first thing i said--I Loved Trees Lounge.
This song rocks in an emotional way. It really brings out my desperation and exposes my depression. Makes me want to fall off the wagon again. Maybe I'm more miserable sober? Time for a Wes Anderson movie. If u liked this song....Try "Sometimes" by My Bloody Valentine
I remember seeing this music video on the VHS copy of this movie. For some reason it was on their twice. back to back. Must have been an editing mistake. But I was always glad they made it.
This should fall into Allman bros, songs and Freebird category... needs to be 10 -15 minutes longer than 3:54.... keep hitting replay. It's got me......
"Cause I need something to forget, what got me in this mess Feeling less and less" - Brilliant It feels like a billion years ago when this movie/song came out.
This song reminds me of those days where I did all I could to save a love life I was trying for but disputes & disagreements came first. And all I had left was a bottle of crown royal but never poured myself a round, ...I drank it from the bottle.
How can this song not tear your heart about. For those who don't know this song is inspired by the case of Susan Smith, who drowned her children by drugging them and rolling the family car into the lake with the two buckled into the back seat in their pajamas. Such an amazing song about such a tragic event.
haha i guess so. i took driver's ed in valley stream too. the scene in the beginning at the garage with steve buscemi sitting by the pole is on central ave. there is one scene in a car where the characters drive under the train station and head towards sunrise highway. i bet if i watch it again i will recognize more stuff, the scenes with ice cream truck definitly are in one of the neighborhoods of valley stream. i still go to the same pizzeria, genovese, on central ave! it's a great place!
by the way, the trees lounge here was called hennigan's sports bar when the movie was made but it is now called whiskey business. it's on central avenue in valley stream
