A couple of things. Definitely the seasons are changing, FTR and long sleeves in the AM and he doesn't need to hit the gym, lifting all the 5 gallon buckets of pig feed...LOL Great video of the field work!!
Hello FTR. Your drone flying while driving the tractor was awesome. I enjoyed your video very much. Thank you. Have a prosperous day at the ranch! 🙂🌻☮️
Good Morning,Tyler and Callie! Poor Piggies 🐷! Starving! The Ranch! Checking in! The Field! Preparing the Field! Great Video! Preparation is important! Thank-you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love watching you work on your ranch and sharing with us. Thank you. I used to sit on a hillside and watch my Grampa plow his "bottom ten" It was funny watching him learn on his tractor after he gave up his mules. He gave me lots of fond memories. The only man I could love as a little girl!
I’ve been working on a puzzle with a sky just like that! LOL How fortunate you aren’t cooped up in a city, but can look at something like that all the time.
Love watching the animals get fed, plus your know how when unexpected things come up, and working in your field - all great content for your vids! God bless you and your family FT!
Hay Tyler pigs are looking good nice job on your hay field preparation looks like you are on your way to soon having a good looking hay field thank you for sharing blessings to you and your family
It always seems like I'm working on tires. Always called it bad luck. Then one day it hit me... It's never the same tire. By the time you add up all the equipment you realize you own a lot of tires! That dewalt impact and a dewalt air compresser is a huge time saver. Good luck bro!
be careful.. we just had the front end drop off of my GMC because of an old pin.... thankfully it was at 10 miles an hour not 70... but you'll never get high speed with that thing!!!!🤣
Memories of my dad as a farmer. Hours spent in the paddocks with kne omplement or another doing that repetitive driving. Makes me even more proud of whag a man he was. You too have my admiration Farmer Tyler. 🇦🇺🙏💞👍✌️👏🇺🇸
Hola Tyler, me gusta tu canal y la vida pacifica y tranquila en tu granja aunque tambien dura. Enhorabuena y adelante, saludos desde Arenas del Rey, Granada (España)
Have a good sense of humor , fun to hear. What would even be the need to use the hammermill if you lose so much in the air? Is the purpose of the second unit behind the tractor to break up big clumps of dirt? Never used one but makes sense. Enjoy all the videos; Thank you.
On your feed calculations you mentioned that you hated to lose some during the milling process and that that portion is not wasted when making wet mash out of whole grain. The one aspect you should not forget is digestibility of the feed. Soaking does help with digestibility but not as much as milling.
A suggestion regarding the hammer mill. When I watched the footage from last year I noticed that an esy fix would be to fit a flexible pipe (maybe ventilation pipe? on the mill and run it through a barrel lid. That way you don't even have to move the tractor, just move the lid to th right barrel and the pipe will do the rest.
We are having problems with Tar Weed in our fields. Mowed it 6 weeks ago and I think that made it grow faster. It's 18" tall again. We disc after the first inch or more of rain, (still waiting) we will mow again before discing. If we don't mow the weeds get hung up in the harrow and cause more grief. We are in the Bay Area.
It is a blessing to watch you after hearing some NEWS,,All the corruption and getting ready messy, l can see the beautiful sky, watching a honest man working, love him and his family, love the animals,I put the white light of Jesus around you and your farms in the name of Jesus,
Hey Tyler, have you looked into planting teff grass where you are? It does really well in dry climates and will come back if it doesn't freeze in your climate. It is high in protean and is a thin bladed grass that is easy for cattle to eat, it also grows really fast and can choke out weeds, here we can get 2 or 3 cuttings on it if it rains ang gets fertilized, you can really hammer the fertilizer to it also. Been watching your channel for a couple of years don't know if I have commented before. Thanks for the content.
Why don't you tighten up the rings on your roller? it would do a better job and not be as noisy. As you said it is always a good practice to wait a couple days in between tillage passes.
You need to get a portable air pump. Harbor Freight has a great one for under $20. I keep mine in truck and use it for everything. Plugs into lighter socket.
Is reusing cotter pins a cardinal sin if you didn't know it was a sin? I guess I'll be incorporating that into my prayers. I enjoyed watching you disc the field. I forgot what you call the implement you tow behind the discs.
I am surprised you don’t have a problem with some type of critters getting into your buckets of grain you mix up for the pigs. How do you keep them away?
I forget this too 😁🫢😵💫 are they separate places?? So then if that’s the case his ranch covers three different parcels of land. That would be a bit of a pain. Four if you count the hay field
My understanding is he has his “grandpa’s ranch” where you see the corral work. His house is a separate place with his workshop, pigs, chickens etc. These are a distance apart, but he does use the four-wheeler to “commute”. And then he rents the hay field, winter pasture, and summer steer pastures. I could be wrong though.
I would like to know about your parents orchard. Also, about your family, you often mention your grandfather but not many details about anyone else in your family’s history.
Hey, aren't you concerned about the fat to meat ratio ? In our country if your fat content is over 15% they reject your pig. so we actually have a sheet that we follow on how many kg to feed a pig per day, and if we stay by it we get about 8% to 11 % fat.
I enjoy your show and content but I can tell you to take tires off to go get air vs buying a portable tank or pump tells me you don’t value your hourly worth very much.
