@@kymberlihamil2323 he raps about it in a lot of his songs. This one too. After 12yrs on heroin and opiate's to have close to 8years clean and my life together is a blessing. So when I see others who come from a similar past doing good in life it's a good feeling that comes even more so than just good music in general makes me feel.
@@scottouimet2865 I really like his Songs ... I have been on heroin and meth., pills, I was a full Blown addict, but I'm clean off of heroin 10 yrs. on Oct. 6. 2022. I been off pill and drinkin Since 2013, I have been off Suboxone for going on 5 months now. And now I'm working on staying off meth... one thing at a time is all I can do... but I'ma get off of that Stuff too... I just wanted to Comment on this. And I feel like music has changed my life! I couldn't have done it without the music ....

The things that helped me most was moving to a new city, cutting contact with absolutely anyone affiliated with any type of use, and I found a significant other to was understanding and accepting of my past. I now have a daughter and 3 sons, 2 of them twins. I will say a prayer for you. Stay up

I remember when this song came.out I had just suffered my spinal cord injury. My kids wouldn't even come see me. I overdosed several times on different opiates and Xanax . The last time was a mixture of both I should have been dead. I saw my brother that day he died when I was 10 . He told me it wasn't time yet. I've since been through hell but got my kids back in my life as 6mos later my son died with cancer. Life's so unfair. It should have been me
7 years ago I remember waking up in the hospital after an overdose. I freaked out and tried to pull out the catheter they had in me. I left the hospital a few hours later only to get home and overdose again. I'm about to turn 40 in a few weeks, my son is about to turn 5 and I'm celebrating my 5th year of being married to my wife. I can't even count the amount of times I should of died from overdosing like 99% of my friends have. I just woke up one day and decided enough was enough. Left my whole life behind and decided to start over. Been clean ever since and life has been great me. One things for sure though, "I ain't dead yet".
