Hayward Navigator Repair Pt 1 Replacing The Shoes

We had one on our pebble tech pool and it was awesome! The pebbles took a role on the plastic wings and had to be replaced once in awhile

Be nice to show the new ones going in, they are way harder to get in even with a lubricant. The lil ring on the fitting really fights going in.

I love and hate my Navigator. When it's working properly nothing works as well. When it isn't, it's pretty frustrating. I have a Dolphin M400 also and it has its moments too.

I found that spit worked just fine and you don't have to go find some.

100% my least favorite vacuum of all time too! 🚮 (Pool owner since 2004)

All the feet broke off and the knobs are stuck in, LOL. Any suggestions on how to remove them? Maybe an excuse to upgrade?

I have a hayward navi-50, which is only sold by pinch-a-penny and the shoes are different in where the pegs are opposite in size and they want $25 for 4 of them and nobody else sells these as far as I can tell....what a scam for something that probably costs $1 each.

Just don't give enough time for the viewer to examine hayward feet, your too busy talking and moving things around. I think my pad may have been put on wrong and why it won't walk. I also hears that if the pods are not skewed tight enough and wobble that can interfere with it's mobility too. I took it to the pool store and they said the replaced 3 things but I didn't get the parts back or anything that said what they did and it still doesn't work. I took it back they said it must be my suction and I hired a pool guy and he said suck is fine, took it back to leslie and again they say parts are ok nothing wrong they could see, don't think they even looked at it only one person in the store, "I went to leslies-no more".
