The delivery for the Italian goes so hard, especially the delivery of "ingoiero" in the second verse where it sounds like he's gagging. Absolutely perfect - 10/10!
No complaints from me on this ! I find it very beautiful and even more heartbreaking all at once since he is speaking his native tongue and yet to have heard in the show itself. I hope we do hear soon . I have an headcanon of Molly unintentionally seeing the trial whilst it happened and saw her twin . She asked Emily about it and she speaking in rapid Italian pleading for her brothers ( we all saw it in the end! Both brothers are in Hell) out of unconditional love .
Is it just me or does the italian version of this slaps low-key high-key more than the english one? Like "I got so good at being untrue" got translated to "lying is my job"??? Which... fits??? So.. well? And the desperation in the voice even before the last part (which also was wayyy more direct than the english one??) Bro, the VA understood the fucking assignment??? (I feel obligated to add that I, in fact, do not speak a single word italian and am basing this entirely on the vibes I got)

@@Nicamon yeah, the English version seems like he hopes for some hope and craves something that isn't completely fucked in his life, while the Italian version sounds like he lost hope about 10 years ago and now wishes his survival instinct would just _stop working_ so he could die, the faster the better. Been looking at lots of different videos of Hazbin in different languages and outside of English the Italian dub sounds the best, especially this song.
The exact same thoughts and there’s more impactful to it but it’s also probably cause it’s Italian which is a love langauge meaning it’s got more density to it naturally

I dont speak ANY Italian at all but this version is SO AMAZING... It really captures all the pain Angel deals with and I love the choice of him singing the "OHHH" part with vibrato. The vibrato makes it sound even sadder like he's on the verge of crying but stopping himself like a cry for help. Also the switch from "This might be my last night" to "I hope this is my last night".. It's so heartbreaking but so good!!

Por ejemplo, la misma "j" es un sonido que rumpe la musicalidad en las palabras, o la presencia en palabras similares entre italiano y español de sonidos mas duros en la segunda lengua (ejemplo: "obscuro" se convierte en italiano como "oscuro", así que sin la "b" la palabra suena mejor cantando)

Maybe my ears are just bad, but his Italian voice sounds so much like the English one! Since Angel does speak Italian, it's just so amazing hearing how his English voice would sound speaking Italian.
Yes, it is quite similar. It could have been even more accurate, but the voice actor said he wanted to keep it natural, so he didn’t force his voice. Anyway its still nice to see some Italian representation
It's probably simply that the voice actor gave a more personal interpretation than the original one. The English one is sung better, but with much less feeling.
