I've purchased several walking sticks, hiking staffs (including a beautiful hazel one), and cudgels from you, Francis. I'm greatly enjoying your videos. It's a real treat to hear your commentary and to learn about your stick-making process. I think that collectors like myself are fascinated to learn about the skills and thought process that goes into the crafting of these sticks. Your wife does wonderful work as well. I purchased a cardigan-coat from your store for my wife and she loved it. Perhaps a video on her loom craft, if she's not camera shy!

Always loved hazel. Sassafras reminds me of it, actually. Hazel was so important in the past. Cultivated copses of hazel were valuable. Legend has it that it was the classic wood for fighting staves as Little John and Robin Hood used. Beautiful work.

Francis Hi found some excellent hazel again in the old grave yard where I live along with hawthorn and yew. Still to find the elusive blackthorn but still looking. Shafts and sticks all away for another year got into it simply by watching your site cheers mate 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
