As a retail investor I don't care about freebies or even a 1% increase in native staking when the network's revenues probably can't afford it (it would be like a startup offering a dividend...that resources are better allocated in builders hands). But it does bother me that no-intrinsically motivated people in positions of leadership are exaggeratedly compensated for their work thus extracting value from the network

I respectfully disagree on Native staking. I think they should shift some resources from insiders to HBAR holders. The longer you hold the more you benefit seems like a good play.

@@HederaForum Hedera don't need to give not any stake rewards if/when will enter in price discovery and climb into the top 10. Retail will invade this network with a huge amount of $$$$ money. You don't need to believe me, look at Kas for example who have double Hedera MC just because they have a big & strong community, without not any single usecase, things are simple, their team don't dump their holders don't sell. Is not complicated: when team dump, holders sell & leave.

@@HederaForum Certainly, it is a complex issue. If you mean taking away resources from HBF and giving it to the community, you could have a good point. But by raising the native staking rate you discourage the use of DEXes and the new lending protocols, which are very necessary and should be supported (Those who want greater profitability can easily find it within the ecosystem) Hedera is in a critical building phase and should prioritize allocation of their resources to projects/developers with a good chance to contribute future revenues and new users to the network. Perhaps a community DAO with the most prominent voices and hbar holders (skin in the game) could be the ideal solution to distribute resources. Otherwise the long term hbar holders (the most desirable kind) are not incentivized with a few crumbs after 6 years of unfulfilled expectations (in relation to hbar price). We understand Hedera proposes a massive internet update and that takes time and resources, we are for a very big prize. But while we wait we want to see that things are done right. I only have admiration for Hedera's leadership, they have inspired us beyond our imagination, but certain things like HBF compensations and the parties at Davos, I (and almost everyone here) do not consider the right pathway

@@HederaForum that's what I was saying this entire episode talked solely about retail and its current adoption (karate combat) and future with smart cities with sealsq earthlings etc. The community as a whole IMO has unjustifiably complained that there's no retail focus when there are TONS of companies focusing on retail.
