Erin really it doesn't matter where you go when you're black whether its FAMU or FSU you're gonna struggle to compete in corporate America (especially if your black). Maybe if you went to an Ivy it might be a little easier but corporate America is going to always make you go through hoops to get ahead. You will work ten time harder for less pay but you all look like determined young people and I know you will all get your coins. Remember Oprah, Puffy, Spike Lee, John W Thompson (Chairman Microsoft), and Rosalind Brewer (CEO Wal-Mart) all attended an HBCU some are billionaires others run multi-billion dollar companies.
i’m 16, so i’m heading to college in a short amount of time and i️’ve been struggling with either attending a pwi or hbcu and taking into account my future and experiences but the video really helped to show me both sides of the charade. love y’all personalities as well
Just saw this video and it is great. I would like to see a video that shows how the transition from PWI to HBCU for a graduate program looks and or feels. All I have seen thus far is HBCU to PWI at my current university.

I was shocked that the young Bruh from FSU actually said what he said about integration; It was the worse thing that ever happened to the Black community. It basically took away the one source of power that we had. Also, here's some food for thought for those of you who are on the fence as to whether to go to an HBCU vs a PWI. If you're looking for sunshine in the winter, you're NOT going to find it in Alaska. Now what-the-hell does that have to do with anything? When corporations are looking to fill their quotas for Black employees (trust and believe, they DO have quotas), the last place they'll go is to a PWI, for the simple, but numerical fact that the pool of talented applicants are larger and are better prepared at an HBCU. That's not an opinion, it's just a fact and it just makes sense people. It's always been that way, and always will be. I personally think that white folk look at Black PWI students and shake their heads in disbelief, thinking,,,,,"Why would you put yourselves through all this shuggady that you're going through? You supposed to be enjoying yourself, while getting an education." ijs, But What Do I Know?

Derrick Landers Not necessarily. They were representing FSU from their own perspective as black minority students. Obviously at such a large school or at any college not everyone is going to have the same experience. I know some of my friends found them to be 1000% accurate and some other friends didn't agree as much so you don't have to be all attitudey you could've simply stated that their representation wasn't as accurate from your perspective 🤷🏾♀️
