Chris, I am so glad to hear the very positive news about your Mom! That’s great news and is the most important thing. My prayers for her health and for continued good news. With regard to HC&C, I am huge fan of Pete and his products - high quality, innovative, and very generous and kind. I have enjoyed his amazing soaps, his shave bowls and his balms are particularly off-the-charts incredible. He is an amazingly talented artisan. Cannot wait to see what new creations he comes up with!

Chris, I'm so glad to hear the info about your mother. I'm most hopeful that the bone marrow transplant will do what is needed. On shaving, I greatly appreciate your comments on the quality of my base. I have tested my base against all of the top tier bases and it's comparable to all of them. My test results show that currently there isn't a 'best soap on the market'. There are small differences between the top soaps, though they are minor. If scoring, I would score them all the same, my soap included. My dream is to be the artisan that comes up with the next performance break through in shaving soap.

It sounds like your mom is doing well which is wonderful to hear. I've had a stem cell transplant and it kept the cancer from coming back so I hope she can have a transplant as well. HC&C is absolutely great soap. It's so easy to use that I find myself being disappointed at times by other soaps that take a lot of work. And you're a hundred percent right about Pete being laser focused on customer service. He is a great guy and it makes me happy to see him getting some recognition. Thanks for the video!

I'm very glad your mom is doing better. I do like HC&C because it is very forgiving and you can make a lather up to pretty much any consistency you need with little effort.

Thanks Trevor. My customers were folks migrating from cartridges when I started formulating soap. A lot of them used it without a brush. The ones using a brush were new with a brush. For these reasons, I put a lot of focus on lather volume and ease of lathering. Heck, you can do a three pass shave with my base, followed by adding a Tbsp of water to the bowl and wip up another bowl of lather from the soap left in the brush.

I’m glad to hear your mom is doing well! I would often watch your videos when I used to sit with my mother in law during her chemo sessions. It helped those terrible afternoons go by faster. I’m sending many prayers your mothers way!

Great shave CDB and so great to hear your Mom is doing better. I love HC&C! Not only is the "Top Shelf" soap a super high quality base, but HC&C offers a line of travel products called "White Star". Since I'm a heavy traveler myself, I really appreciate what HC&C puts out there as far as sticks, and TSA acceptable sizes.

Aaron, thanks so much. I have more traveling items on the way. Of course, you've seen shave soap in the little containers. As soon as I can get photo's taken, I'll offer sample containers ranging from 1/3 oz to 2 oz. That will allow travelers like you the ability to take the amount needed depending on how long your trip will be. Heck, I'll even be including little labels so you can label the ingredients. Sample containers aren't that expensive, so cost won't be a problem.

Thanks so much for the positive comments Kim. One of the things for 2022 will be increased focus on women in our community and how to grow the number. My first big idea is to create generic artwork for shave soap labels meant specifically for women. These will allow me to produce soap in ladies scents when needing to make only 5-10 tubs. We'll be asking the ladies from the community to help design the artwork. I also have other product ideas. One is a lower priced lotion/balm. I can make a great potion that is really good for the skin without the really expensive butters. The only really expensive ingredient needed is Argan Oil, though it doesn't take a lot. I don't know what to call this next one. It's a mixture of oils. Think lotion without the water and emulsifying agent. (In basic terms, lotion or balm is a mixture of water and oils which need an emulsifying agent to blend). So, my ex-wife used to coconut oil on after bather before drying with a towel. I sent her some of this, not knowing how it would be used. She got back with me and said that it leaves her skin feeling better than coconut oil. So, this will be another one. Coconut oil is great for skin, though a blend of multiple oils that are good for the skin works better, at least for my ex wife.

Wow, that's great news Chris! I'm so glad that things are going better with your mom! Yes, Pete is relentless in is pursuit of customer service and I'm glad to see it firsthand. I'm a driven person, but Pete's on another level and I feel like I'm playing catch up, which is great, because he makes me want to step up my work. I'll have to keep this scent in mind and give it a try. I wonder if Ikon is working on something new, because we haven't seen or heard much from them for a while and they're moving older models for a deal. Maybe they have something in the works. I'm crossing my fingers, that your mom can get a bone marrow transplant and get off that chemo merry-go-round. I've got a good feeling about 2022 and I think some great things will happen.

I hope the bone marrow transplant is successful and your mother goes back to living a healthy and care free life. Coming to HC&C, Mr. Hendrix was kind enough to send me a surprise package in 2020, when I was but a young wet shaver with basic gear. His soap is one of the best I have tried till date and am currently saving up to get a number of goodies later this year. Southern Comfort is my fav among the scents which I have experienced in the HC&C lineup. Would love to see a Shave Talk with Mr. Hendrix. If there is already one, I’ll give a search and look. @@HendrixClassics Well Pete, I'm not really sure. To me it really smells like an alcoholic beverage. I don't drink anymore, but for some reason it gives me the feeling I would get when I'd had too much and it was time to call it a night. I don't know if that makes any sense or not. I think I really prefer "Florida Sunshine" or "Corsican Sun" to be truthful, and I'm looking forward to the "Exotic Grapefruit".

In fact I'm not even bothering to use any aftershaves until this gets cleared up.
