Wow, you sound like a romantic giy!Mr Ramon Quack. Is this your name? Yes. This song brings back memories to me too! I do love this song very much. And i can sing it!🤪
@@MsOceanstar Yes, I love this movie and it's three famous songs. Are you a lady, your name is so romantic. There's another person's name Moonstars . Did you watch this movie? I love music since I was a little boy. I love many Hong-Kong movies and songs, such as 黃梅調,痴痴的等,明日天涯,月桃花,憶良人,秋的懷念,秋水依人,心戀,懷念。 And there are many more songs. And I often play Guitar and sing for my grand children in the weekend. 😃🥰😍☺🤗
@@rApollo9999 That sounds so wonderful that you play the guitar and sing songs to your grandchildren. Lin Dai was one of my favorite Chinese actresses and LiLi Wah. I grew up with their movies sort of, alongside American movies. I don’t even recall title of movie that Lin Dai sang this song. So happy to see the short clips that came into my feed with she in it and singing this song that I like so much and remember. I play the piano some and paint. Yes I am a female- living in the US. Well, thank you for replying. Lots of nostalgic postings from people “our age”! Sweet!😇❣️👋👋☮️
I love Mandarin musics but unfortunately I am illiterate in the Mandarin Language. Hence, I appreciate very much that you included the English subtitles on this beautiful song. Cheers!
Come tomorrow 17 July 2024 on Wednesday it will be the 60th anniversary of Lin Dai's passing. I was just four years old when she committed suicide but then even now we all still felt a great sense of loss.Lin Dai is irreplaceable and even now one one can be compared or be her equal.
I don't understand Chinese language, but just having a sense that it is so touching melody. It made my feeling floating back to the past when I was kid living in the war time. The composer, singer and all artists are most admired!
Re-mastering of the video and sound track to HD format is so amazing for watching!! What a master piece of vintage music it is! It's touching melody is still yet melting every listener’s heart and soul deeply! Great work and congratulations to the composer, singer and all the artists😂😂🎉🎉😊😊
And what is the title of the movie? And where to watch it if it has been remastered? I grew up with this song too. I agree -Yes very lovely melody and touching lyrics. Indeed, listening to it melts my heart and touch my soul deeply too. And Lin Dai sang it with such deep feelings. ❤️🩷☮️🩵
@MsOceanstar HI, Yes, it's a beautiful piece of vintage love song ever composed and captivating hearts of many who listened to it. Name of the movie in English probably is Love Without End. The movie was produced by Shaw's Brothers company 邵氏制作 many many years ago if I'm correct. The remastered HD copy usually reproduced in Blu-ray 藍光鍱 format or DVD near to HD format is usually on sales in major audio visual shops. Do go around and ask. Good luck and enjoy😂😂😂
Beautiful Lin Dai singing all hercesy through in this movie. Only sad about her is, most of the films she acted will die in the end. Sad ending indeed.
I had never really thought of Lin Dai as beautiful in a vampish way, but she was certainly charismatic, her expressive face made her stand out among other actresses. She photographed well and had sharp yet harmonious features. She wasn’t afraid of ugly expressions, like the flash of annoyance, or anger, or sadness. Her acting was not artificial especially in the period movies she starred in. She was fully expressive with her eyes, so intense was their stare. Her smile was captivating though. Gone too soon. This arrangement of the song is beautifully lush, suitably melancholic and luxurious.
I remember this song, when I was a kid, I had to escorted Mom to the Chinese movie theater in San Francisco back in the early 60’s. I remember this movie and song. This was played by a very popular and well known actress. I think after she played this role she committed suicidal. It was a very sad story of her life. She was a very popular movie actress back in those days. I still have the original recording. It does brings back fond memories of my childhood with Mom. Thanks for the memory. 🙏🙏🙏 Mom passed away last Spring, she was 94 years old😢 but she had a wonderful and an adventurous life coming to America from China. 😊 This was her favorite movie actress and song. 🙏🙏🙏
@@42kellys We were born in the 50’s. I guess we were call babies boomers. Things were a lot different back then. Mother came from China in 1947 right after the war. Dad came from China in 1939, he was only thirteen when he came all by himself to America. They both were introduced by my grandfather . They like each other and elope to Reno too get married. That’s different from tradition. 🤔 I am the middle of three boys. I have always had an interest in learning about our family history. I find it to be very interesting on how the Chinese came to America. I just started writing about our family history. It’s stories about certain events and experiences that happened to my parents living in America. I was fortunate to have parents that would talk about their past growing up. Stories about what happens to them, like the time when my Dad throw into jail because people thought he was a Japanese spy. It was right after the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor. He was detained for two weeks because he couldn’t speak English, he was trying to explain to them that he was Chinese, but the FBI thinks he was Japanese. They couldn’t understand what he was saying. 😱 It was high tension in the early days of the war. During the war Chinese had to have papers with them at all time. They would also sew sign in the back of their jacket telling people that they were Chinese and not Japanese. I find these stories fascinating but you never will heard that mention in our history books. Things like the Exclusion Act of 1868, not allowing Chinese to bring their family to America, that was a the law of the land. It was the only law that was passed by Congress that banned a certain race from bringing their family to America. It took World War II for Presidents Truman to rescinded the law because the Chinese were an ally during the war in fighting the Japanese. It took Lyndon B Johnston to reset the quota to allow Chinese to bring their families members to America. Anyway I am glad you enjoyed my family story about mom. She was a great woman with a good mind, it’s sad she was given an opportunity to go school but that was the culture in those days, but she accomplished a lot in her life time she was very smart and kind. Anyway take care and have a wonderful life. I am planning to write a book about her. “From farmer daughter to a landowner.” She had an adventurous life in America, God bless her.🙏🙏🙏
@@thomashom7514 I was younger, I think I was about 10, but I remember shedding a few tears when I was watching the movie. I think everyone in the audience was shedding a few tears in the theater. 🥹😩😭 The playboy vs. the country farm girl. It was a tearjerker movie. (can you please pass me the Kleenex.) 😂 The song was a killer. The song got to me in the end. I was shocked to I heard the actress committed suicidal right after doing the movie. Til this day I still didn’t know the reason why she committed suicidal. Do you know why? Does anyone know? It has been a mystery to me all this time.
I remember this touching sentimental song when I was a teenager. No doubt we were poor but my mum sent us to the cinema to watch this show. It was the first show in my life and it touches every aspect in my life until today. Once I see this show it haunts me of the good old days of love for each other till the end of our lives.
I was in elementary school when this movie and famous title song came out in the early 60's . Always remember , and will never forget ! ❤. I was in Kowloon then but never get to watch this movie and still haven't watch it . ☕️
