I was pulled plenty of times by her during the 80's back and forth to school between Inverness (far northern line) and Tain (I went home at weekends), in the 1980's. Lovely to see something which serviced my school days restored and back to original health thanks to Boness Railway in Scotland (who restored her).
Brings back memories of these pulling coal trains up and down the south wales valleys. Would sit on top of the Caerphilly tunnel shafts listening to them thunder through the tunnel
i watch the vids because they are memory's from my childhood ... Chester line from stockport went past the back garden and a stop signal at the same place and a runaway train sand trap was on the same line

Mull of Kintyre and Mary Queen of Scots were used between Inverness and Thurso (more often than not) between 1983 and 1988 (when sprinters took over passenger services). They then went onto freight workings.
