With remedial work being taken on the main line between Hatton and Dorridge the return run of the Stratford on Avon to Birmingham leg usually routed by Hatton North and Solihull was diverted via Hampton in Arden offering some unusual location shots.
The first is at the Aqueduct near Bearley, where the canal is carried over the railway line by means of a huge "bath tub " construction.
The second shot shows the final train of the day passing thro` Shirley Station, a mere shadow of its former self.
