​@@jupiterbjySigh, what an irony. Talking about consistency with FHD and QHD when OP is clearly using the 'K' marketing word. If you want consistency, it should be 2K, 2.5K, and 4K. This comment also contains a slight inconsistency since manufacturers usually call 1440p screens 2K, while it's actually closer to 2.5K. The same goes for 1080p.

It’s a matter of experience and age. I come from a time when computers ran on punch cards, so something like this was literally a sketched concept on a napkin back in the day. It is truly amazing that this machine can do what it does, and do it nearly flawlessly.

Not really... We are "engineered" way more complex than needed, and we have a programmed durability of about 30 years... enough to start off the next generation. Our eyes are "backward", our pelvis and lower back is still half-quadroped, our air intake and foodway cross, causing us to choke, and what's up with the laryngial nerve? If an engineer made a connection from brain to larynx that looped around the aorta, they'd get fired! The marvel is not that we work so well, but that we work at all :)

It has to look as human as possible. That way it's less frightening when introduced to the public.

Many modern things today emulate things in Nature, e.g., airplanes, submarines, automobiles. Particularly true for dynamic machines. The human form may not be the ultimate design for specific tasks but for overall "jack of all trades" type things it is hard to beat. I believe that God created a very good model and apparently the engineers do too. Human sized (and designed) robots can have superior strength, eyesight, hearing, and endurance with today's technology. Dexterity is getting a lot better but considerably lags humans right now (imagine a robot dancer or gymnast). Reason, emotion, and decision making are hurdles that may never be perfected in robots, despite AI.
