That is just a Show to be done at Open Air on Summer Squares , so do not call her an OPERA SINGER : SHE IS NOT !!! She’s just a screaming girl ..... to become a TRUE OPERA SINGER student are used to study and practice at least 10 or 15 Years !!!

@ClaraMP Sorry, but the comparison with Sumi Jo is not correct. Sumi Jo started her career on stage with operas under famous conductors like Karajan and Solti. But it was only after years she startet with (let's say) lighter or modern music. A lot of other opera singers did the same (Pavarotti, Caballé, Baltsa etc.) Maffioletti has a fine voice with extreme whistle register, she is a soubrette mostly singing with André Rieu. Opera insiders call her "Show Girl"... I saw her often. But sometimes she lacks in breath control and yes, she is screaming in high notes. Listen to Erna Sack and you know what I mean. She is 39 and her technical skills are not better than 20 years old singer. It takes years to bring a voice to perfection, don't tell something about 4-6 years, this is only the time to study at university. Joan Sutherland teached Pavarotti his breath control to perfection after 12 years of stage experience. Caballé masterd her gorgeous pianissimi after 18 years. Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Teresa Stratas never found their voices good enough and trained over years until exhaustion. So you see, you have to study your hole live and not only a few years. An opera singer has a hard life. And by the way, to compare singers is the best way to learn. A lot of opera singers are watching one aria with different singers. @@heinergebhardt8576 Unfortunate thera are no great contemporary trained opera singers, Almost all of them are less than mediocre singers, you can count talented opera singers on your fingers. I mean learn how to bark loud in the opera house isn´t exactly the same as being a great or even a mediocre singer 😄.

The training required for (A) European Classical singing (opera, etc.), and (B) Indian Classical singing is far greater than popular music genres.The great singers in those traditions are, therefore, the world's greatest singers from a technical standpoint.

As much as I like great mainstream singers, I won't compare them to a great classical operatic singer like Joan Sutherland, or a great Indian classical singer like Falu.

You clearly are 'in the dark', here. Barbra Streisand is a great Broadway and 'pop' singer, yes, but _not_ a great classical/operatic diva, and _not_ a great Indian classical singer--those two vocal disciplines are simply beyond any 'pop' singer. For example, as great as Barbra Streisand's co-ordination is, the Indian singer Falu has superior fluidity of co-ordination to virtually _any_ 'pop' singer, including Streisand.

Marilyn Horne is one of the world's greatest operatic mezzo-sopranos. specializing in _bel canto_ and _opera seria_ roles, requiring a large sound output, great tonal beauty, superb breath support, and the execution of difficult coloratura passages. In the case of Falu her Indian repertory requires full integration of ear training with singing technique, superb articulation, mastery of numerous scales and microtonal intervals uncommon in Western music, and a fluidity of co-ordination that is simply astounding. Barbra Streisand does possess an excellently polished instrument, but she doesn't specialize in the repertories of these specific vocal traditions.

Where is it, what time? I haven´t heard her sing at least one F7. But her voice is brilliant nevertheless!
