[HD] DUBLIN BUS - Volvo B7TL AV371 [04-D-20371] 

Yeah I noticed on the Dublin Bus site that they are 4 speed ZF's but pretty much every AV i've been on has had a fifth gear, so i'm assuming that's the upgrade Dublin Bus made to the AV's? :-)

+TheIrish RoadSurfer cool thanks for letting me know, because I have always wondered with there are 2 gearbox sounds in the 00 av's and also 2 different gearbox's on 01 and 02 Av's.

How bad was the crash, is there any pics? It is being used for parts now! This is the youngest AV ever scrapped after 266.

+Dennis Trident Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking too, from a Facebook pic today, if the window and door were not removed, I could see a perfectly good AV (if you look at it from the left hand side in). That pic really surprised me, that's an 04 AV imagine what they think of an earlier AV. Worse has happened like the de-roofing of 167, 24(?), and an ax that has got its front area destroyed. I still have my doubts of the withdrawal AV266 and AV211. Must be all the new crap that's making the AV less to them. (Sorry for the rant)

The AX you're referring to is 587 which was in a vicious crash a lot worse than AV371. Yet, it still came back to service but 2 years later!! The damage on AV371 looks so small, really ridiculous to scrap it. AV242 lost its roof. I blame the mechanics of Ringsend for the fire of AV211. I never heard that AV use cooling fans... ever! Even in the sweltering heat and it being thrashing and piping hot, it just never used it one bit.
