I used a Canon 60D in manual mode, 25fps, night shots filmed at 1/30 speed, wide open (f/3.5 for the fisheye, f/1.8 for the 50mm prime lens), ISO 3200 and 4000 with the fisheye, ISO 1600 with the 50mm prime. During the day, I use multiples of 25 for the speed (1/50, 1/100, 1/250, ... you get the idea) so that it is synchronized with the fps. Obviously at 24 or 29.9 fps that is not possible. Aperture at f8 on all lenses to get everything in focus.
Hi Samuel, This video is edited with Sony Vegas 10 (non-pro version) which I bought in a store for about €30 ($40). Excellent software and quite easy to use
I got my private ticket in 2010 back in Daytona and this video reminds me how great is flying, is awesome also happiness. Thank you very much for sharing this.
Buffalo Burger is a good one :D Love it! Catalina was actually my most favorite place to fly :) Another good destination to go is big bear ;) Nice video! Flyin' in the US for ever!
Thereare times i Envey you. Head over to Florida theres nice flying there to. Just watchout inthe summer. Thunderstorms pop up literaly out of no where.
Truely amazing. you know i find salvation in these kind of videos, cry a bit even, because I am color deficient, from a third world country and its' absolutely disheartening to see these videos and realize that you can never make it as a pilot. Sad. God bless.
Hi golfcharlie232, really admire this video. I would like to know the video editing software that you use & if possible how could i get a hold of it. I would really appreciate your help. Thanks #Cheers
Amazing footage golfcharlie! Definitely would like to see more destinations in the future like Northern California, the Pacific Northwest, or maybe even a cross country if you haven't made one yet.
Indeed! Very amazing! And though I don't really know you, I really just wanted to wish you luck on your test tomorrow. So good luck and remember to never stop chasing your dreams!
Do you like what you see Golfcharlie232? hahaha! I am from Los Angeles! Hope you have a great time here and make sure to make a quick stop at LAX or Long beach!! :)
You know I've never seen scenery more beatiful than this in any other video. I'd love to be able to travel to these places someday, especially Catalina Island.
Wow, another stunning piece of work. I particularly like the refelction of the city lights on the underside of the wing, and also the d.o.f you get when focused on the instrument panel but keeping the lights in the back ground in shot....music as ever perfectly matched! The island airstrip looked like one of my F-18 Challenges on the Kindle Fire!
Sir I hope you realize you are seriously awesome and thank you for expressing that! I am so glad to see a new video posted on your channel. I am very inspired by your blog and very motivated also. I hope you have fun and thank you for not forgetting about us in here ;)
hi Golfcharlie232.. i love very very very much your videos and i can say that i'm jealous of you and of your amazing job (i think that be a pilot is the best thing ever). i'm waiting that you load another video like "life as an airline pilot".
Awesome video! I'm flying in FL, got a chance to fly in LA last winter(such as shame i didnt fly to Catalina Island). Can you tell me where you rented this C172 with those nav systems? or any place has C172 with G1000 there available? Thx~
Great video, i've been in california the last summer to complete my time building down there..i flew in some of the airports you've been visiting, and this video brought some tears to me..Keep the dream flying!
I don't want to bug you, as I know you have 20,000 subscribers asking you the same thing, but do you have any tips that could help people like me do what you do? I'm 16, and all I want to do is fly. Any suggestions? Thanks man.
One is for pleasure, the other one for business. Damn I´m wrong both are for pleasure but one has the advantage that you are getting paid for ;-) Btw. I guess it´s just old footage he is using for this clip.
Hi G. C.232 this is an invitation pub to fly nice music fantastic vidéo Well done it's AMAZING i'm pride of U CANON vs GO PRO it's a better quality imageries
Great Video! Learned to fly at El Monte and moved home base to Brackett after I got my PPL back in the 80's. Love both 737 and GA videos. Thanks for sharing!
just shows what can be done with less fps and a greater range of lenses. Excellent stuff!! Yeh, I know, we still hanker after a Go-Pro despite that! Kudos.
