After I saw these guys live 5-6yrs ago, I realized that I’d much rather see Jello play DK songs with these guys than see Dead Kennedy’s without Jello Biafra.
Comparingv this show with "the New Dead Kennedys", this is a better fix for Dead Kennedys fans. I can't even tolerate Dead Kennedys without Jello, but Jello leads this band with the same intensity he always did as a DK.
I just compared a set with the old band and no Jello with this set, and totally agree! Music is music, and East Bay Ray is an awesome guitarist, but there's only one Jello for the total package!
Just saw the “new dead kennedys” tonight and can totally attest. There wasn’t any energy behind the notes, they were totally phoning it in and that new singer rambled along doing his best Jello impression for way too long.

Jello is gettin' older but he's gettin' better by the years ! It's great to see him perform like this. Pity for the other original members of Dead Kennedys but this is way better ! Keep on rockin' Jello !!!!!

why don't i ever see ray in any top guitarist lists? that really needs to change, he's one of the best there's been. punk's earned respect. east bay ray, you've earned your place as legend in my book.

Powerful Set!!! The rain helped give the whole thing a sense of urgency and fed into the relationship between Jello and the crowd nicely. He's still got it. :)

Man, I'm reading some comments here about Jello being «old»...like, yeah that's what happens with human beings, dumbasses! I was there, it was awesome for me to be able to see live one of my musical 'idols'. I know the crowd was awful but some of us were really enjoying Jello's performance.
Jello's great. I've moved somewhat to the right since I hung out with the guy backstage (Fairmount Hall San Diego) in the early '80s and I think he's moved to the left. Both of our tummies have gotten bigger as well. But he still sounds great and puts on a good show. Thanks for posting.
You moved in the wrong direction. Now you are the evil sell out that these songs are about. So sad you cant see that. This music is impotent to your ears. You probably never understood them in thre first place.
This is miles better than listening to the current DK churning out the old hits. Both have a place I guess but this is current and not nostalgia. Nostalgia will change nothing
The what looks to be 15ft or so gap between the crowd and stage certainly doesn't help things i dont think. This music meant to be played from a barrier free stage that's raised 1 or 2ft max for the benefit of all involved.

What wud make this alot more to my liking(and i do believe most peoples)would be if that impressive chap fronting the DKs rightnow would possibly have enough time in his schedule to front this band! It would be alot better!!
