Watch in HD! This is the third part of Mojave Magic, covering the distance between Amboy, California, and Topock, Arizona, just across the Colorado River from the division point of Needles. Plenty of trains are seen along both this and the parallel Arizona and California Cadiz and Parker Subdivisions, including meets, races, brand new power, NS 8102 on the point of the westbound Q-NYCLAC, the spectacular bridge at Topock, trains grinding up Goffs Hill in both directions, the interchange with BNSF's Cadiz local at Cadiz, and much, much more! For more great photos and videos, visit www.z-trains.com, and be sure to subscribe to me here on RU-vid!

Those GE's are awesome. Who doesn't love the sound of a perfectly good running locomotive. The only thing that I have to find a way to do is to find some place where I can hear this kind of awesome power live. and even get some awesome recordings of this kind of stuff with my Olympus digital recorder

The diesel of another company that is in say Up, BNSF or other Rail Company. If it fails in a movable state, I presume it will be towed back to it's owner "dead in tow". But if it fails where it cannot be moved via rail e g bogie or other problem what happens? Will the owner of the company who owns the rails repair it or what? Because of the cost of rail access by Network Rail (NR) a failed engine or multiple units will be towed to the nearest road access point and taken by road to the owners repair depo. I the case of my rail company Great Western Railway it used to be taken say from Plymouth to Old Oak Common (London) 234 miles, even if it is could be towed "dead in tow". Old Oak Common is now going to be an exchange station on the HS2 High Speed 2 line. Thank you for the Video of trains and amazing scenery from the UK

There's a rule in place for railcars where they can stay in service until 40 years after their build date unless given an extension. Most of those cars were built in the late 1980s and early 1990s so they'll be retired within the next decade or so.
