Wow.... that is really bad. In a book series I love something similar happened where three women fell in love with the same man and he fell for all three women. However he felt like a ingrate for feeling that way and he even said "I love you" to each of them while all of them were together then added something like. "now you know how horrible a person I am, go find someone who will love you right." I could respect him as he was willing to give up all three because he lusted for all three equally and wanted what was best for them, which he felt wasn't him. This guy though... I feel he has no respect for the women at all when he dates more than one, he even actively hides it from the rest as he won't say anything on any of the dialog options.

I don't think it's that he's hiding it or anything it's that the others already know or at least they do after this scene where all the girls wanted to give him "special" chocolate since in Japan Valentines day is a really big deal on who you give chocolates to and everything you either only give it to someone you are dating use it as a way to ask someone out or extremely close friends but it was obvious that he was dating one of the other girls in the group to everyone or all of them even Rise even said she wasn't going to lose to Naoto so this is groundless speculation and everything though but I mean yeah.

I think the fact she still trusts you have realizing you are cheating is heartbreaking. The others are at least more direct with you and aren't trying to be fake happy. The fact she doesn't feel love often probably makes it sting even more

@@migoabuel27 Not only is that why it was heartbreaking with her, but because of how she saw Yu during the course of the game where she considered him someone who doesn't keep anything and who is honest with everyone he surrounds, reinforcing that idea that he is someone incapable of lying, hurt and deceive others, but at that moment knowing of his deceit not only feels like a strong stab to her own heart and her feelings for it, but to what she believed when she met him that boils down to a complete lie.

Having said that, I kinda like that system better and totally think we should adopt it. Suspenseful romance. I still felt like a bastard for choosing Rise over Yukiko, though. I would have stuck with Naoto, but the event glitched during the can't-go-back scene, so I didn't even get to pick her. And that sucks.

But the entire idea of Valentines' Day in Japan came from a misunderstanding of how the concept worked, and the result was a day when girls gave guys chocolate. White Day came later, from a *different* company trying to capitalize off the original misconception with the idea that the favor was returned a month later. In a sense, White Day was the mistranslation taken a step further, and that was long before the Internet could be used to research the particulars.

Christopher Engel I couldn't agree more. Rise is definitely the most competent girl and has the most potential as a strong/successful person. Her strength of will and diligence in ability to overcome adversity, her maturity, her sense of responsibility, along with just her capability of achieving her goals and getting shit done really stands out amongst all the other girls. She is the strongest and most developed character out of the investigation team and the best candidate for having a successful future. I didn't even realize how emotionally underdeveloped Naoto was until you mentioned it. I like Naoto. She is intelligent and well spoken and presents a demeanor of stability that speaks to her restraint and professionalism. The softer and more passionate side she shows in spite of her cool demeanor in her romance path is especially rewarding to the player, which is why her fanbase is seemingly so massive. But I have to admit that she really doesn't have the strength of conviction or seems to have so many things figured out about herself the way Rise does. She's seemingly embraced her femininity, but her future is pretty much up in the air as how complete of a person and how successful she'll become. She hasn't been tried and tested in facing and overcoming adversity to become one who's confident and capable of achieving her goals the way Rise has. Despite what you've said, personally I like Chie. She's probably my second favorite, yet not as a romance option. She's mature enough to understand her role that she needs to take action where others hesitate, and doesn't cower from that responsibility. She doesn't make anyone else "take the blow" for her, because she's embraced the idea of protecting others and being the leader of action (apart of Yosuke). She defends Yukiko, Takeshi, bullied boys, her friends, and everyone she feels needs protecting without question. That's who she accepts herself as, that no other party member has the courage or understanding to do. Her passion to protect others has some potential to drive her into a successful life as a friend, family member, and a police officer. Yet, I will agree that it doesn't necessarily translate into true competence. That's up in the air, and is what makes her future uncertain in comparison to Rise's. Still, having the passion to do something like that can only be beneficial towards one's success. As for Yukiko... I really don't have much to say. I might be being unfair in saying this, but I really haven't found the interest in analyzing her character because she's just so flat compared to the others. None of her strengths stick out to me because her character is just so bland compared to the some of the other colorful personalities. Her social link really doesn't do her justice as its not out her in the face of enough adversity to really expose what kind of person she is and how she deals with it (the same can be said of Naoto really). She shows well enough as a person, but feels quite undercharacterized and is really not interesting enough for me. TL;DR Rise is best girl

Christopher Powell Rise’s constant flirting with the mc really gets on my nerves. Plus her crush was too forced and random; we don’t know what she sees in him other than he looks “cool”. At least in the anime, the two had more interactions enough for Rise’s crush to build up. I respect your opinion though.

VMMMCXV Yukiko’s character really isn’t that flat imo. If you’ve watched the anime, it shows how well she’s developed especially during the battle with her shadow when she broke free of the cage on her own. Yukiko thought she couldn’t do things on her own but ended up doing so.
