CREDITS "Zelda scenes" 13:25 BONUS Ending 19:54 A great game to end the 'Not so great' Wii era. :) Check out my other 12 parts of all the other cutscenes of this game!
I was so impressed with the ending of this game. My jaw hit the floor when Demise delivered his curse, when it comes to Zelda theory (if you will) that was one of the simplest yet most incredible things Nintendo has ever done for the lore of this series, the dramatic implications of it are can be as simple or as dark as you please. I love that Hyrule now has this dark secret, that the kingdom we've all come to know for its happy endings is one doomed to never know everlasting peace. Fi is an incredibly designed character and her last words stick with me so much, though i wish she could've been developed more throughout the game. But it's nice to look at old games, and all future games, that include the Master Sword, and think of Fi in her best moment, and not her annoying companion ones. Impa made me cry (after screaming "I KNEW IT!!!" :P) And I love that final scene before the credits, the doors opening to reveal an image any Zelda fan would recognize as reminiscent of the original art for the Master Sword, from the game it first premiered in 19 years before. What a celebration of 25 years, and a set up for many more to come. :D
I think another possibility is every game is the story being told by a different person. Take the name of the game literally for a second The *Legend* of Zelda, legends are stories that get passed down from generation to generation which could be what demises curse really meant (figuratively) people will retell the story forever like how now we still read the Tortoise and the Hare to our kids. The writer new this and maybe incorporated this into the story for the reason why the story changes so much, because as a legend gets passed down most of the original story is lost and someone has to fix it with new details. It could even explain why Wind Waker is so childish it’s a story told to younger kids whereas Twilight Princess is much darker so it can be told only to children (quite literally). I will say this theory is most likely wrong and Demise’s hatred being recreated as Ganondorf over and over again makes much more sense but in my opinion I think this theory about the legend losing its form and taking shape newly could hold some truth
Zelda:"What about you? What will you do now?" Link: "We can stay here as the rulers of this temple to guard the Triforce, keeping an eye on things from up high. Hmm...... High Rule. That's got a nice ring to it." Boom. Full circle.
GOD! They hinted at those two SO MUCH in this game! EVEN THEIR BIRDS WERE FLYING TOGETHER!!! I'd say it's safe to assume Link finally got the girl- well, since the second game at least. XD And if not, well... there is always fanfiction!
"So Link, what will you do now?" -Camera quickly pans in on Link who has a smile plastered on his face because he just got an idea- We all know the Hero of Time must be born, and Link will do what he must to ensure this.
I always wondered about that, and I'm glad it's been cleared up. But, I find it odd that nearly all of Link and Zelda's descendants are nearly identical to one another. I get why _Nintendo_ does it, but in the context of the story, it's a bit weird. Does the spirit of the hero slightly morph the looks of the chosen one? If that's the case, you'd think that all anyone would have to do is paint Link and look for the kid the looks most like him. Or Ganon would just assassinate him as a child or something. Zelda's case makes more sense -- royal line of Hyrule, more likely to look like her ancestors, more likely to be named after her mother (who's probably named Zelda, let's be honest). But then Tetra happened. I guess what I'm saying is that I wish Nintendo would give the hero of courage a bit more variety in who they are. Or at least let the player do it. I mean, imagine if it was a Zora? Or a witch/wizard? Or even a Gerudo (cue drama-filled story between them and Ganondorf)? Or a Zora, or true Kokiri, or a freaking descendant of Tingle? NINTENDO LET ME BE LINK-TINGLE. LINGLE.
@@zachanikwano well in windwaker ganon sees link and is like who the hell is this kid yet he met and respects the hero of time more than anyone (they are rivals) so yeah they look different
...We're still waiting for that kiss. When I first started watching the cutscenes for this, I actually thought this would be the one game Link and Zelda kiss. But, nope.
wait... what if Fi is the voice of the master sword from Breath of the Wild. For the people who do not know what I am talking about Zelda, in the last memory, speaks to the master sword. I think she is talking to Fi.
@Cubanita2210 My thoughts exactly. Adds so many layers to the Master Sword. I remember the brief moment in Alltp when it [Fi :)] tells you it has chosen you. So very cool. I hope to see Navi, Fi, and Midna again. It's so sad that Link always has to say goodbye to his companions.
Just a simple thought, Eldin Volcano became Death Moutain, Faron Woods and Lake Floria became the Kokiri Forest, Hyrule Fields and Lake Hylia, and Lanrayru Desert became Gerudo Dessert. Zelda and Link stayed in Faron Woods, which became a staple for similar boys in green, because it’s both Hyrule Fields and Kokiri Forest. But Groose’s gang left for Lanrayru
I've already played this game like 1000 times and just when I thought I wouldn't get drawn back into it again.......I watched this and all of the feels came flooding back. SHIT.
Dude I love the Legend of Zelda series, and this one just takes the case in my opinion of being the best of them all. (besides OoT of course) Though does it bother anyone else that you NEVER know what Zelda was trying to tell you at the beginning of the game!? I was all like O.O wait.... what was she saying? Stupid cliff hangers...
I just wanted to comment to tell you thank you for taking so much time into putting these together, and very well, too. I'm a little more than half way through the game, but found I get so stressed out while I play, I might as well just watch all the cutscenes and stop stressing over the gameplay, because the cutscenes, I found, are what I enjoy most from this game. So I don't know if I'll keep playing anytime soon, but I'm sure I will some other time. Thanks again.
The music that starts at 8:40 has definitely got to be my favourite music in the entire game. It makes you sad, happy, and the tune is just indescribable. The mood is fit so well and the mixture of instruments just makes it sound absolutely amazing.
Its so sad when Link and Fi depart especially with her last words just before Link is about to leave. You really do build a relationship with her throughout the game and even though she is meant to be a robot like spirit, somehow she seems to convey a sense of emotion and character that the other guides in Zelda games have not been able to do. And as annoying as she was sometimes, you just know that the game would not have been the same without her. I will miss you Fi :(. Amazing Game
This was a great ending, although, I felt a little disappointed that Zelda never told Link her true feelings. Remember in the beginning right before she got sucked in by the tornado? She was about to tell him something
@hypsermetalsonic i dont know how often you get this but thanks. it probably takes alot of time because you have to record all the cutscenes then string them all together. so thanks for taking the time to do this.
Impa: It's ok. You will see me again. (FOR 5 SECCONDS!) :( Also.. Another person mad at the lack of kiss... And this particular Zelda & Link were good friends and had at feelings for each other... You suck Nintendo.. I was disappointed in the ending for this alone.. :(
I know a lot of people hated her, but looking at Fi from a character perspective, this scene almost brings me to tears every single time. The way Fi had zero emotion at the beginning of the game and only sought to help Link finish his quest and save Hylia and eventually gaining feeling and happiness for other people and being able to actually have relationships for them is just amazing and that's why this will forever be my favorite Zelda game ever story wise.
This is the time line for the games I've played Skyward Sword Takes place first, followed by Ocarina of Time, then Majora's Mask, and then Twilight Princess. This is just the games I've played.
@hypermetalsonic This experience, watching these cutscenes and seeing the end... it was amazing and I thank you hypermetalsonic. it was a blessing from Hylia, I guess you could say ;) I can't think of any other way to say thank you for this. Thanks to you, I have the most wonderful feeling, all warm and fuzzy =)
This has become my favorite Zelda game. Probably because the Zelda in this game has not only a purpose beyond being a plot point for Link, but because she also has character and is an active part of the story. This whole game was very well done as far as I'm concerned.
When I met Impa for the first time and went back to granny, I saw something... their ressemblance. The hair, the sheikah tribe mark etc. But she is such a great caracter!!
This is so sad! In the beginning, I see her as an computer/robot who annoyed me for little things. After everything, I finally realize that she was there for Link in every game. Even though she ends up forgetting what adventure she had with Link, I LOVE how she tells him, "May we meet again in another life." It's like she knows what will happen. I hope Fi is in another Zelda game! :D
@beak1983 They decided to go with timelines when OoT was released. When Ganondorf was defeated by adult Link, it started the events of WW. However, Link went back to his own time where he was still a child, and told Zelda about the future. The Ganondorf of that timeline gets imprisoned, and that's how TP happens. MM takes place right after OoT in the child timeline. OoT was released in 1998, meaning that they wanted to use timelines then. TLoZ was released in 1986. SS was released in 2011.
@beak1983 MM was obviously a direct sequel to OoT. WW was a sequel to OoT, but it hundreds of years later. It even says it in the prologue. When FS was released, Aonuma said it was older than OoT. TMC was a prequel to it, making it the earliest. When TP was released, they explained the whole child and adult timeline thing, which actually made complete sense. The end of OoT shows how history is changed, and it's explained in TP by Ganondorf. PH was a direct sequel to WW. ST is a later sequel.
D'awwwwww I love how Zelda asks Link what he wants to do then you see their brids flying away together, it's one of those moments when you wish he could talk so he could say "Zelda baby I wanna spend my life with you" D'awwwwwwww Zelink foreva!!
@Thepanu1 There's a completed (I think official, posted by Nintendo) timeline floating somewhere around the Internet. SS would actually be the first game in the time line, which is followed by Minish cap, which is followed by Four Swords, which is followed by OOT. After OOT, the time line splits into three: One era in which the hero is defeated by Ganon, one where the Sacred Realm is protected, and one where Ganon is sealed.
@AnimeStarStudios TP does not come before OoT, it happens after OoT in the child timeline split some time after MM takes place. This is based on the official timeline released a few weeks ago.
You know... I don't see how people can hate this game, I guess they car too much about the adventure than the story. It's a cinema type game, it's a start for the series, of course it's gonna be different, but it's good.
@beak1983 Nope, there was always a timeline in mind with the development of each game, usually stated in interviews or on the back of the box or the manual. TAoL was said to be a few years after TLoZ when it was released. ALttP was said to take place long before both games when it was released. LA was said to be a sequel to ALttP when it was released. OoT was said to be the earliest adventure when it was released. The Oracle games never stated it, but they explained the gap between ALttP and LA.
@beak1983 The timeline idea is 13 years old. The series was 12 when it was introduced. OoT was only the fifth game released. There are now 15 (16 if you count the Oracle games separately) games. The timeline thing is a major part of the series, and has been for more than half the series lifespan, and for around 2/3 of the games released. It's not just being made up now. They're just confirming FSA's placement, and TLoZ, TAoL, ALttP, LA, and the Oracle games' placement (the third timeline).
@beak1983 SS was stated before it was released that it would be the new "oldest" game. So it goes SS > TMC > FS > OoT (adult) > WW > PH > ST, or OoT (child) > MM > TP > FSA (which no one could have guessed). The only new information Hyrule Historia revealed was FSA's placement, and that ALttP > Oracle > LA > TLoZ > TAoL was a THIRD timeline, in case Link failed to defeat Ganondorf in OoT. Although they kinda fudged that explanation, it doesn't actually make any contradictions.
I think it is because there is only one master sword and until Link put it in the past it existed in the present. They are going with the idea that they are changing the past when they go there, so changes wont appear in the future until they go and cause them to happen in the past.
i love link sooo much. he is soo epic and has so much skills. if i was link in this journey(as if in real life) i would have failed this great adventure. i would even miss the sword to the pedestal at like 5:05 and have an epic fail XD anyways, i just felt so much happiness after playing this game.
@Irigand So then one could state that each embodies a part of the triforce itself. Meaning that Link is Courage/Farore, Ganon is Power/Din, and Zelda is Wisdom/Nayru. I was expecting Ganon to be the final boss in this game honestly, the depiction of the giant blob-like creature during the opening sequence resembled him. I heard somebody argue that this game takes place DURING Ocarina of time. He sad it fills the 7 year gap in the alternate timeline when Link was asleep in the temple of time.
hero mode was better than easy mode. being told i will take no double damage and no have access to hearts made me concentrate more on the sword swinging and defence. there is a mark on your save file proving you did hero mode. theres a little triforce icon next to the date and as you start hero mode is the zelda 25th anniversary print. and time carrys over . i done both in just under 80 hours lol top notch game i love it. worth every penny. gonna try a link to the past now.
Just damn! We need to see LINK kiss ZELDA ALREADY! In order to advance the series you must have more of an emotional bind to it! Look at Halo with Chief and Cortana! SO Emotional!!
