SM will focus on the expansion of SM City Iloilo to boost retail space and to compete with the other upcoming malls in Mandurriao, Iloilo City like The Shops @ Atria by Ayala Malls, Gaisano Capital Iloilo City Center and the Megaworld Central Mall by Megaworld Lifestyle Malls. The expansion is said to have 30,000 to 50,000 square meters of gross leasable area. Aside from the mall expansion, A Park Inn at Radisson Blu Hotel will be built at the back of the mall to complement the mall complex.
