Loved the arrival of the British Airways A350. I remember about 10 years ago when BA used their Queen Of The Skies, AKA the Boeing 747-400, for their flights to and from Phoenix. 😎👍I also remember over 20 years ago when Lufthansa used their Airbus A340 from and to Frankfurt in the cool season and their Boeing 767 in the hot summer months.
That's crazy with the passengers on the Condor A330 being forced to wait for the gate that was occupied by the Air France 787. I'm surprised Phoenix Sky Harbor doesn't have that many international gates at Terminal 4 to accommodate aircraft that arrive from overseas flights.
@MagnumMike44 yeah, it's definitely a problem. There are only 4 gates at t4 that can handle widebody aircraft...hence the new terminal to be built. Except that's ten years out:(
Phoenix was never visioned as an airport with more than just a lot of domestic connections. Now that Phoenix's total passengers is rapidly increasing (possible that it's in excess of 50 Million this year), the worn out T4N4 has run out of gates to accommodate 3-4 International Heavies, plus the endless number of international flights from Mexico and Canada.
