The first time I passed Mario 64 was on my DS Classic. Yes, I know some of you will hate me for not passing it on the n64, but at that time, my dad had bought me a Dreamcast and It was all I had(I really LOVED my Dreamcast!)and watching this, it might be the first time, in a long time, I felt nostalgia. After finishing the game (in the credits), I felt so proud. The music, the various images of throughout the game... I found myself crying for the first time for a game, le 6-year old me.

That moment when you haven't realized that the letter Peach sends at the beginning is a trap made by Bowser for eleven years.

I remember enjoying playing as Yoshi in the DS port. So many advantages and capabilities than Mario has.

This is THE remake. Ooh, god. You just don't know how much I love this game. Critical hit right in the childhood!

3:23 people these days, only 12 more hours in that level and you could've done it in .5 a presses.

So many Dislikes... Might I suggest a read up on TAS, it's a frame by frame technique used to record gameplay at levels a human would normally not be able to play at. It's theoretically possible for someone to play like this, but with the precision button presses it's unlikely anyone ever will! :)

I thought the 64 version speed run was amazing but this definitely takes it up a notch : )

So I have a story regarding this speedrun. So when I was a kid and had RU-vid I watched a lot of Mario related videos. Mainly those videos where they take a plush toy of someone like yoshi and proceed to torture him (I was a weird kid) I found this video which was not only my introduction to Mario 64 DS and my extension, Mario 64 as a whole, but also my introduction to speedrunning. And when I did get the game for myself, I tried to recreate this run. Obviously I couldn’t do any of it, but it was nice to see the parts of this game that this speedrun glossed over.

All I can hear is "Yahoo!"
